In recent years,with the increasingly close economic exchanges between China and Russia,"Chinese fever" is also gradually heating up in Russia.In Russia has gradually established 19 Confucius Institutes,making it one of the countries with the most Confucius Institutes in the world.Confucius Institutes have also become an important force in Russian Chinese communication.This thesis,taking the Russian Confucius Institute as a whole,conducts a comprehensive study,exploring its basic situation and operation status,school situation,development characteristics and challenges,and offering some suggestions to promote its sustainable development.In this thesis,the methods of database based analysis,macro analysis and case analysis are used to combine quantitative research with qualitative research.The thesis is divided into six chapters:the introduction,including the origin,significance,trends,contents and methods of the research;the background of Chinese teaching in Russia and the basic situation of Confucius Institute;the situation of Chinese teaching in Russia Confucius Institute,including the Chinese curriculum,the status of teachers and the use of teaching materials;the Russian Confucius Institute the typical analysis of Confucius Institute in Novosibirsk National University of technology;the conclusion and implications;and the conclusion.It is found that the number of Confucius Institutes in Russia is large,but the distribution is extremely uneven,focusing mainly in the economically developed western region;the curriculum is designed according to local conditions,with different sizes and types.Chinese learners are diversified,and the largest population is college students;the faculty team is composed of two parts:local Chinese teachers and "input" teachers selected by the Chinese side.The overall number of the two types of teachers is basically the same,but the mobility of volunteer teachers is relatively large;more general textbooks developed by the Chinese side are used,and the construction of local textbooks has also made some achievements;The Confucius Institute of Novosibirsk National University of technology takes many actions to localize itself and Chinese education,including developing local teaching materials,creating two high-quality brand cultural activities,and promoting the HSK online examination.Russia's Confucius Institute has developed steadily,and is the main body of the Confucius Institute System in central and Eastern Europe.It not only helps Russian Chinese communication from "hot" to "practical",but also promotes the cultural integration between China and Russia;The experience of its localization construction provides reference for Confucius Institute to realize sustainable development based on local social needs.In view of the challenges in the development of Confucius Institutes in Russia,such as unreasonable layout,insufficient characteristic construction,and the need to further strengthen localization,this thesis points out that the layout of Confucius Institutes should be planned more scientifically,and characteristic Confucius Institutes should be established in mature cities.Moreover,by promoting the compilation of local teaching materials,optimizing the structure of teachers,developing "Chinese+Vocational" courses,and seeking the support of local resources,we can further promote the localization process,tell Chinese stories well,and actively broaden the path of cultural communication.
