On January 18,2001,"the ministry of education on actively promoting the English curriculum in primary schools",proposed that primary English education should start in the third grade.Since then,the ministry of education has successively issued the experimental draft English curriculum,as well as the 2011 edition English curriculum standards,which ensured the important position of English education in the whole compulsory education system,gradually improved the English education system and optimized the English teaching methods.Today,the primary school English education curriculum has gone through nearly 20 years of growth,and is traditionally known as the "education nerve endings".However,due to remoteness of school,backward condition,school teachers,the English education curriculum has not achieved its goal.Teachers' specialization is not enough,the English education is still not fully on track,which causes the relatively poor education in English in rural schools.This paper investigates the current situation of English teachers' teaching and students' learning in rural primary schools in Z town.It identifies problems with the current English curriculum: insufficient support of resources in rural primary schools,insufficient specialization of rural teachers,and poor learning ecology among rural students.The crux of the problem lies in the impact of urbanization.Under the great centripetal force of cities,a large number of excellent people,wealth and materials from rural areas flock to cities.Which weakens the infrastructure of rural English education systems,makes the management mechanism of education at the grassroots level unreasonable,and separates the rights and responsibilities of central schools.Causing,overcrowding of living spaces of teaching sites.Low salary,a strong sense of job burnout and lack of support;culminating in a lack of a sense of belonging and identity for teachers.In the classroom,the loss of high-quality students,lead to the teaching students learning atmosphere weak.The key to the development of English teaching in rural primary schools is to implement a look down method,to optimize the structure of rural teachers.This is done by improvinge the quality and efficiency,and to promote the return of rural students.For teaching points,pursuing the development of "new urbanization" and promoting the two-way flow of high-quality resources;For teachers,significantly increasinge the teaching point teacher subsidies and increase the purchase of preferential policies.The focus is shifted down,and the teacher training mode is reformed,from "sending training to county" to "sending training to the teaching point".To steadily improve the quality of education for students,we must find the right method to,optimize the structure of English ability,home-school cooperation,change the concept of parents' education,and acquire help from colleges and universities.The paper is divided into four parts,the first part is the introduction,consisting of the research background,research significance,domestic and foreign literature review.The second part analyzes the current situation of English teachers and teaching process in rural primary schools.The third part analyzes the rural primary school students' learning activities.The fourth part has done the question ponder,has analyzed the reason,and has put forward some strategies.
