Since English courses were set up in primary school,educators have always been searching for teaching approaches.We have made some achievements since it started in the past ten years,at the same time,there are many problems on English teaching,especially it is serious in rural area.After investigating we found that there are main problems as below:1.Management method in primary school teaching is relatively solidified,lacking advanced management thought and vitality.2.There is a shortage of English teachers in rural primary schools and English levels need to be promoted.3.The Classroom Teaching is dull.4.There is a widening gap between teaching aim,teaching method,teaching content and teaching comment compared to the curriculum standards.Some problems are old,some problems are new.But all of these problems need some countermeasures.So it is very significant to study the English Teaching problems and find the reason of restricting English Classroom Teaching.We take interview method during research the psychological experience about teaching and learning,use investigation method about teaching plan,teaching method and teaching result and adopt observational method on teaching procedure.These ways make the study include objective fact and subjective experience.So it is very important realistic for taking concerned countermeasure to improve the English teaching quality in primary school.Based on the real condition of teaching in village school,premised on improving teaching management,promote teachers' quality as a fundamental,we mainly further study the learning interesting,teaching method and teaching evaluation,actively explore the actions of primary English teaching in rural area and present the basic conceive and route.This research can provide some information for theory construction on primary English teaching in rural area.It is very meaningful in theory and practice.It fully explain the necessity and main ways for primary English teaching.
