The eye-catching development of the world economy has improved and met people's material standards and spiritual needs, and has shown a prosperous scene in all fields. However, despite the encouraging prospects, there have also been unethical issues.Among them, the issue of unethical decision-making has become more and more prominent in various fields, and has attracted the attention of many researchers. However, most of the current research on unethical decision-making is carried out from the aspects of individual cognition and emotion, and there are few investigations on the influence of unethical decision-making in terms of self-esteem or even the separation difference between explicit and implicit self-esteem.On the basis of combing the relevant literature at home and abroad, this study intends to study the influence of explicit self-esteem and implicit self-esteem on unethical decision-making,and further anxiety about the mediating role played by it.This research examines the influence of explicit and implicit self-esteem on unethical decision-making through three empirical studies.Experiment 1 used an experimental method to measure the level of the subjects' explicit self-esteem,and explored the influence of explicit self-esteem on unethical behavior decision-making through visualperceptual deception tasks. The result found that: compared with higher explicit selfesteem, individuals with low explicit self-esteem do Make more unethical decisions. In Experiment 2,on the basis of Experiment 1,the measurement of the subjects' implicit self-esteem was added to explore the impact of the differences in explicit self-esteem,implicit self-esteem and their separation on unethical decision-making.The results found that: higher explicit self-esteem,higher explicit self-esteem,Individuals with high implicit self-esteem,high explicit and low implicit self-esteem make more unethical decisions;individuals with low explicit and low implicit self-esteem make more unethical decisions decision making.Experiment 3 measured the subjects' explicit and implicit self-esteem levels and self-anxiety levels, and used a matrix task to explore the mediating role of anxiety in the impact of explicit self-esteem,implicit self-esteem and their separation differences on unethical decision-making.The result found: anxiety plays a part of mediating role in the influence of explicit self-esteem,implicit selfesteem and their separation differences on unethical decision-making.Combining previous research and findings, this study finally reached the following conclusions: Compared with higher explicit self-esteem,individuals with low explicit self-esteem are more likely to make unethical decisions;compared with the smaller separation difference, those with explicit self-esteem and implicit self-esteem are more likely to make unethical decisions.Individuals with large separation differences are more likely to make unethical decisions;anxiety plays a part of the mediating role in the impact of the separation difference between explicit self-esteem and implicit selfesteem on non-ethical decision-making,and the separation of explicit self-esteem and implicit self-esteem has large differences Individuals are more prone to anxiety, which makes them more inclined to make unethical decisions. This research theoretically explores the influence mechanism of self-esteem on unethical decision-making,and also provides theoretical support for the motivational factors of unethical decision-making.In actual practice,it provides a new perspective for improvement to reduce the occurrence of unethical behavior, which helps to adopt reasonable methods to improve self-esteem,maintain the consistency of internal and external self-esteem,and maintain good mental health while building a harmonious society.
