An Analysis Of The Visual Language Of National Images Based On The Perspective Of Body Narrative

Since the 1990s,the issue of national image has become increasingly important and attracted wide attention in the academic circle.In recent years,the discussion of national image is often mainly focused on the fields of economics,communication,politics and social psychology,and the perspective from the body is relatively few.This paper takes the body narrative as an important entry point for in-depth study and understanding of national image.By discussing the body narrative in large-scale events and summarizing the national narrative reflected in individual narratives,this paper carries out an in-depth analysis of the visual language in national image.The first chapter introduces the origin,literature review,research contents and methods of this research.The second chapter builds a theoretical framework to explain the basic connotation and mutual relationship between body narrative and national image.Chapter three reveals the top-down national image in large-scale events by analyzing the body narrative and visual language in large-scale events.The fourth chapter reveals the national image contained in the bottom-up individual narrative through the analysis of the individual narrative in daily life and the study of its visual language.The fifth chapter concludes by reviewing and combing the research process of this paper and drawing a conclusion.This paper holds that there is a mutual mapping relationship between national image and body narrative.In the process of contemporary society,on the one hand,we should promote the visual language that can adapt to the contemporary media and increase its interaction in the context of large-scale national events;On the other hand,it can go deep into the physical narrative stories of specific cases,and examine the various aspects of national image reflected in personal memory from a micro perspective,so as to enrich the visual language of national image.This paper studies national image and visual language from the perspective of body narrative,hoping to enrich the perspective of disciplinary research and provide reference for future research and design applications.
