A Study Of Narrative Methods In Contemporary Photography

This paper focuses on the discussion of the concept of photographic narrative,focusing on the narrative function,mode and method of photography.Explore how narrative is produced in photographic works.First of all,this paper combs and analyzes the history of photography and narrative history from the perspective of photography theory.Secondly,the author analyzes the photographer's works from the perspective of the creator and the viewer,and analyzes some typical works with case studies,in an attempt to explore the narrative construction methods in photographic works.Finally,from the author's own perspective,the research direction of this paper is combined with my own practice to explore the narrative method of photography.This paper is divided into the following parts:In the first part,the introduction introduces the background,purpose and significance of the topic,and the current research situation at home and abroad.The second part,tracing the origin of photographic narrative,introduces the concept of photographic narrative,its development history,the relationship between photographic narrative and literary narrative,and discusses the narrative function and meaning of photography on this basis.The third part,the generation of narrative in photographic works,analyzes the narrative characteristics and narrative logic in photographic works through the relationship between photographic language and narrative,the generation and interpretation of photographic narrative,and the types of photographic narrative methods.The fourth part,the presentation of photographic narrative in contemporary photographic works,analyzes the cases of photographic artists' works.The fifth part,the exploration of photographic narrative in personal art works,explores the narration from the perspective of own practice and theory.The conclusion part summarizes the whole text and points out the method of photographic narration and its significance in contemporary times.
