A Study Of Primitive Artistic Tendencies In The Work Of Frida Kahlo

This paper takes Frida Kahlo's original pictures as the breakthrough point,and holds that Frida's works have original artistic tendencies.Most of Frieda's works are in the form of self-portraits.The study of this paper is not self-portraits but all of her works.Frieda's works can be roughly divided into three categories: one is the expression of self-consciousness,which is usually regarded as contempt for violence and mockery of death;The second is the expression of love consciousness,which is usually regarded as the moral exploration of the marriage of human relations.The third is the expression of female consciousness,which is the cognition of female body from the perspective of gender.In the above three categories of works,Frieda will be unyielding national spirit and self-generated primitive artistic tendencies into them.There are also many discussions about Frida's schools.The article can give reasonable explanations for both surrealism and magic realism.No matter which school we belong to,it does not affect our study of the primitive art in Frida's works.From the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20 th century,primitive art in the western modern painting first emerged.When modern art,which reveres classical beauty and ideal beauty,is faced with new challenges,the original way of expressing stereoscopic sense simply by the change of light and dark is also abolished.Then in the light and color not satisfied with the new pursuit,after impressionism started in an attempt to start in a new manner of western modern art,strive to go beyond the natural "real",African art,art of tribal Latin America after the treasure of culture to be open and be used by the impressionist artist,contrast freda found after the activities of the trajectory with no intersection with these artists,What is it about Frieda's work that leads to a similar proto-artistic tendency? When Frida's works are compared with other original modern works of art,they are very similar.Can it be inferred that the mystery and magic of the primeval jungle contained in Frida's works are the original artistic tendencies?In fact,Gombrich put forward two criteria for judging the characteristics of primitive art,namely the baseline model and the minimum model.As a theoretical basis,this paper identifies the original artistic tendency in Frieda's works as well.
