Symphonic Performance Of Ravel's Piano Suite "Mirror"

The piano suite “miroirs” is a masterpiece of the outstanding orchestrator Ravel composed in 1905.Among them,“the une barque sur l'océan” and “alborada del gracioso” were adapted into the orchestral versions by Ravel in 1906 and 1918,respectively.The main focus of this article is to explore the two pieces to determine the composer's orchestral thinking and sound that he wished to express in his works,and to analyze the performance skill of orchestral thinking and sound on a piano.We also considered the way of performing the orchestral sound on a piano and realized the symphonic performance of the two works.
