| The issue of life is an eternal topic in Chinese aesthetics,especially from Zhuangzi’s theory of life,Wang Guowei’s theory of realm,Zong Baihua’s theory of Artistic Conception,and Feng Youlan’s theory of life realm.all of which have exquisite discussions on the issue of life aesthetics,and think that life has different aesthetic levels.In Master Hongyi and I,Feng Zikai proposed that human life has three levels: material life,spiritual life and the life of soul.Starting from the perspective of life aesthetics,this paper discusses the specific material content,aesthetic form and value orientation of the three levels’ life,trying to solve the purpose and significance of Feng Zikai’s "life in the world" and realize the road of life advancement of ultimate concern.The first chapter discusses the body sheltering problem of material life.In Feng Zikai’s poems describing things,nature is unrestrained and objective existence,so it is "merciless".Human beings endow nature with human emotion,so the beauty of nature lies in humanization.Utensils are artificial products,no matter how exquisite the craft is,they all take personal interests as the first principle,so the beauty of utensils lies in the person.The initial purpose of building construction is to settle down and no matter how diverse the forms are,they are inseparable from this practical principle.Therefore,the beauty of architecture lies in dwelling.The humanization of nature,the close contact of person and the dwelling of architecture all embody the beauty of practical body sheltering in material life.The second chapter discusses the problem of ideographic expression of artistic life.In Feng Zikai’s essay on poetry,painting as a visual art,dominates all elements of painting with artistic conception and creates poetic beauty.As a scene art of audition fused,drama integrates stage,performance and symbol in one,and constructs the beauty of metaphor.As a pure form of abstract art,music expresses emotion with pure sound and voice,creating the beauty of pure emotion.The poetry flavor of painting,the metaphor of drama and the pure emotion of music show that the beauty of artistic life lies in the form of ideographic expression.The third chapter discusses the issue of establishing life in religious life.In Feng Zikai’s character appreciation,the Confucian aesthetic concept is based on the theory of "benevolence love" and pursues the clear and practiced beauty of dwelling in benevolence.Feng Zikai measured things by "comparing morality",which reflected that Confucianism advocated the unity of beauty and goodness.Based on the theory of "inaction",Taoism pursues the natural beauty of innocence and frankness.Feng Zikai’s literary and artistic creation with a "childlike innocence" and frank attitude shows that Taoism advocates the unity of beauty and truth.On the basis of "related origin",Buddhism pursues the beauty of the alaksana of the nonbeing of self nature.Feng Zikai’s understanding of the impermanence of life reflects the original impermanence of Buddhism.The benevolence love of Confucianism,the frankness of Taoism and the alaksana of Buddhism embody the idea beauty of religious life.To sum up,Feng Zikai’s three-level life started from the body sheltering of material life,and finally reached the purpose of religious life through the transformation of ideographic expression of artistic life.He clarified the purpose and significance of "living in the world" and realized the advanced road of ultimate concern for life. |
