Research On Direct Phonetic Components Of Inscriptions On Inscriptions In The Northern Wei Dynasty

The Northern Wei Dynasty is in the early stage of the development of regular script.As a typical representative of Chinese characters in the Northern Dynasties,inscriptions in the Northern Wei Dynasty have transitional characters and research value.In the origin of the development of Chinese characters,the intervention of phonetic components has endowed Chinese characters with more advanced and diversified means of differentiation,which is a milestone change in the history of Chinese character formation.It is one of the best ways to understand the system,functions and properties of Chinese characters to study the phonetic components,especially the direct phonetic components.At present,the results of the academic research mainly focus on the whole study of characters or components,and focus on the study of semantic components,while there are few specialist studies on phonological components of characters in the Northern Wei Dynasty,especially for the Northern Wei dynasty.Besides,epitaph inscription phonological component system of the research results has not yet been seen.In this paper,a total of 321 inscriptions of the Northern Wei Dynasty was collected.Taking the characters as the carrier,the direct phonetic components in the font were comprehensively cleaned up.A total of 80368 fonts containing direct phonetic components was sorted out,and 6905non-repetitive fonts were cleaned up.Finally,906 main shapes of direct phonetic components were extracted and classified into 2656 characters.The combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods was comprehensively used to conduct a comprehensive survey of the composition system,variation types and functional evolution of the direct phonetic components of the inscriptions in the Northern Wei Dynasty.The phonetic components and their systems were analyzed and described from a theoretical perspective,so as to provide material support and theoretical reference for the study of Chinese character configuration and the study of the history of Chinese character development.The paper is divided into four parts : the introduction,the general situation of the direct phonetic component of the Northern Wei Dynasty inscriptions,the variation of the form of the direct phonetic component of the Northern Wei Dynasty inscriptions,and the development of the function of the direct phonetic component of the Northern Wei Dynasty inscriptions.The first chapter is introduction.First of all,this paper summarizes the source of the inscription materials in the Northern Wei Dynasty and the basic principles of dealing with these materials,and then explains the object of this paper.Secondly,the paper reviews the current situation of the research on the direct phonetic components of the inscriptions in the Northern Wei Dynasty,and illustrates the significance and value of this topic.Thirdly,the author gives some examples to illustrate the research ideas and methods of this topic.Finally,the paper introduces the detailed rules of separating and inducing the text material arrangement and the direct phonetic component in detail.The second chapter is about the general situation of the direct phonetic component of the inscription in the Northern Wei Dynasty.This chapter first discusses the function of the direct phonetic component,and then analyzes the constituent elements,distribution range and word formation frequency of the members of the direct phonetic component system.Finally,guided by the function,it explores the adjustment and change of the direct phonetic component system in form,sound and meaning.The research in this paper shows that not only Chinese characters are systematic,but also the direct phonetic component,one of the components of Chinese characters,is systematic.Moreover,this system is matched with the Chinese character system,and the members of the system also have multi-dimensional correlations.Due to the complexity of the variant forms of inscriptions in the Northern Wei Dynasty and the irrational deformation of some characters caused by the artificial transformation of the calligraphers,the direct phonetic component system has the characteristics of more members,weaker induction and lower motivation,and the system optimization degree is generally not high.The third chapter is the variation of direct phonetic components of inscriptions in Northern Wei Dynasty.Influenced by many factors,such as the psychology of using words,aesthetic concepts,writing carriers and engraving tools,the direct phonetic components of inscriptions in the Northern Wei Dynasty have varying degrees and various variations.The direct phonetic component has the characteristics of large number and diverse forms,and provides a greater play for its shape variation.Based on this,this article from the simplification,multiplication,assimilation,alienation,classification and several other perspectives,combined with the collection of inscriptions,carries out the concrete classification research,in order to deeply understand the main variation types of direct phonetic components,and investigate the variation rules as well as characteristics of direct phonetic components.The fourth chapter is the development of the direct phonetic component function of inscriptions in the Northern Wei Dynasty.Pronunciation is the basic function of direct voice component.With the change of shape and voice,the function of direct voice component will change accordingly.In this paper,a comprehensive study found that although such changes have taken place in the form and pronunciation of characters,which sometimes leads to the concealment,weakening and even disappearance of the phonetic function of the word-formation components,the phonetic function of the phonetic component is still mostly inherited,and the internal system of the direct phonetic component is also constantly adjusted to maintain its own function,so that Chinese characters always maintain the basic nature of the phonetic characters and a more rigorous configuration system.
