Zheng Zhenduo collected books for more than 20 years,spanning from Song and Jin Dynasties to Ming and Qing Dynasties,inclusive of everything,and rich in themes.Selecting the late Ming Dynasty as the time range for the study of Zheng Zhenduo's print collection,because there are great differences in academic filed on Zheng Zhenduo's own division of the development of print in the Ming Dynasty,this paper especially focuses on the great discussion on Zheng Zhenduo's understanding of print in the late Ming Dynasty.Before joining such a discussion,it is necessary to fully discuss the print books of the late Ming Dynasty in Zheng Zhenduo's possession.On the basis of summarizing the previous research results,this paper makes an in-depth and systematic study on the theme by referring to various literature information and Zheng Zhenduo's own diaries,inscriptions and other written records,aiming at sorting out Zheng Zhenduo's printmaking collection in the late Ming Dynasty.This paper sorts out and discusses Zheng Zhenduo's print collection in the late Ming Dynasty from four aspects:the background and source of the collection,the classification of the collection,the characteristics of the collection and the value of the collection.Specifically,this paper starts with Zheng Zhenduo's collection background,combines his family background with the background of the times,and analyzes his new collection course.Then,it divides its print collection into three categories: "painting book","opera" and "novel",and analyzes and discusses them with examples,and concludes that its collection characteristics are "taking inscriptions and postscripts instead of textual research","taking ‘practical and rare' as the purpose of collection","emphasizing on Huizhou Huang's engraving".Finally,when discussing the value of Zheng Zhenduo's print collection in the late Ming Dynasty,starting with "edition value","literature value" and "artistic value",it confirms the great value of his print collection in the late Ming Dynasty to the development of print culture from various perspectives,and then provides reference for the follow-up study of Zheng Zhenduo's print collection in the Ming Dynasty and even for the phased discussion of Zheng Zhenduo's print development in the Ming Dynasty.In the appendix,I listed the inscriptions and postscripts of Zheng Zhenduo's print collection in the late Ming Dynasty to present his attitude towards the collection and the words describing the print content in a clearer and more intuitive form.
