The Means And Application Of Vibrato In The Artistic Expression Of Erhu

As an essential part of erhu performance,the vibrato technique is an irreplaceable means for depicting regional styles and expressing profound emotions.Compared with other stringed instruments,erhu stands out with a soft yet sonorous sound.If the vibrato technique is applied to an erhu,it will produce vibration and sound waves that merge into a voice-like melody with variant changes.Hence the paper analyzes the expression means of the vibrato technique and its application to the erhu art.The paper consists of three chapters.The first chapter briefly introduces the vibrato technique's characteristics and categories in the erhu art.The second chapter describes three regional erhu styles and analyzes classical scores to explore the vibrato technique's styles and features.The third chapter analyzes musical scores from the perspective of emotional expression,with an emphasis on expressing four types of emotions through the vibrato technique.The paper studies the expression means and application of the vibrato technique,aiming to improve performers' understanding of learning this technique and deepen their emphasis on variant changes in vibratos.Hopefully,the paper's findings will enable performance skills to serve the music and give full expression to the emotions and thinking of musical works.
