This article takes the engraved posts in southern Yangtze River area during the emperors Qianlong and Jiaqing reign of Qing Dynasty as the research subject.It is divided into four parts for discussion.First of all,it summarizes the engraved posts types and selected factors.Secondly,from the composition of the engraved posts,it explores the evolution and characteristics of the mainstream calligraphy style during this period of time and in this area,and reflects the era features of the intersection of rubbing inscriptions in engraved posts.From the social background and regional advantages,it explains the reasons for the popularity of engraved posts.Finally,it elaborates on the problems of engraved posts and the impact from the external environment on it.Therefore,it aims at drawing a clearer outline of the engraved posts in the southern Yangtze River area during the emperors Qian-Jia period to examine its significance and value.
