Research On Animation Character Modeling From The Perspective Of Semiotics

Animation is a hypothetical artistic system drawn,and animation is a schematic reflection of the creator's heart,which makes animation present a distinctive image symbolic characteristic in its artistic performance.All the visual image elements in animation art can be called "animation symbols".Among them,the animated character is the core performance of the visual image creation in the animation system.The animated character image carries a unique value meaning and becomes the expression medium of emotion and cultural connotation.Every animated image can be said to be a symbolic image with specific meaning.As a systematic research method,semiotics theory provides theoretical guidance for the study of animation symbols.Introducing semiotic research methods,discussing the adaptability and particularity of animation symbols on the basis of semiotic theory,and further researching the construction of the symbol system of animation images.This article attempts to study the symbol system of animated character images,pointing out that there are two levels of symbol systems in animated images,and discuss the signifier level of the symbol system of animated characters from the aspects of character image and its setting,character action and emotional expression;And analyze the referring level of the animation character symbol system from two aspects: the inner meaning of the character image and the cultural connotation carried by the art style.Secondly,try to explain the constructive relationship between the character image system(signifier)and the metaphorical artistic connotation and emotion(significant)from a new perspective,so as to summarize the characteristics of the symbolic expression of animated characters.Specifically,from the perspective of the directness,stability,and creative characteristics of the symbolization of animated characters,we can appreciate and understand the fusion characteristics between the signifier and the signified of the animated characters.Thirdly,this research tries to take the animation "Unfamiliar Warmth" as an example,focusing on the symbolic signifier and the shaping of the external image of the character,as well as the internal emotional meaning conveyed by the sign and the character,combined with the character image in the animation for experimentation.Elaboration to illustrate the symbolic meaning of animated characters.
