| From the perspective of gender,folk custom is the carrier of gender culture,reflecting the specific gender culture,while its repeated interpretation of custom activities,strengthening the inherent characteristics of gender culture.As the most important traditional festival of the Chinese nation,the Spring Festival has a strong gender color.Taking Songmeng Village,an ordinary Han village in northern Shandong province,as a field site,based on a comprehensive description of traditional Spring Festival customs,it is observed that men and women show obvious differences in gender division of labor,status,and gender role expectations.In the traditional Spring Festival customs,the gender division of labor has formed a pattern of "the male takes care of the external affairs and the female takes care of the internal affairs".Due to the uncertain status of women in the kinship system,they have different status in different ages,and the society has different gender temperament and expectations for both sexes.Behind the difference of traditional gender culture is the result of agricultural natural economy,patriarchy and Confucian ideology.After the founding of The People's Republic of China,with the establishment and improvement of the socialist system,under the guidance of the Communist Party of China's policy against gender discrimination and oppression,the implementation of gender equality,equal pay for equal work and other policies,so as to re-gendered the society,thus changing the gender culture in the Spring Festival customs.This change is embodied in the blurring of gender division of labor in Spring Festival activities,the breaking of taboo customs about women,and the change of gender concept in folk society,which is in contrast to traditional gender culture.In the process of gender cultural change,national policies,social changes,economic development,and educational development play an important role in contemporary re-genderization. |
