| The implementation of the “double reduction” policy requires education to return to the initial purpose of the school,and give full play to the comprehensive educational function of homework for the purpose of improving the quality of homework and reducing the burden of it.The purpose of this study is to optimize the English homework management in junior middle school in order to improve its quality and reduce the burden of it.Through the methods of literature research,questionnaire and interview,this paper makes a field investigation on the situation of English homework management in three junior middle schools in X District of H city.The survey results show that in the process of managing English homework,the junior middle school in X District of H city is faced with four difficulties: the low quality of English homework design,the poor condition of students' completion of homework,the emphasis on form rather than connotation in homework correction,the single way of homework evaluation and the unsatisfactory effect.Based on the in-depth analysis of the causes of the problems and the research results at home and abroad,this study proposes that English homework management should be carried out from the perspectives of teachers and schools.Specifically,teachers should reasonably control the number of English homework,optimize the design of English homework,strengthen the guidance of English homework completion,and enhance the effectiveness of English homework correction and feedback,so as to realize the process management of specific links of English homework.Schools should provide teachers with external support related to homework management research and homework support system in the process of managing English homework,so as to create a good management atmosphere. |
