"Weekly Review" was launched at the end of 1918 with the purpose of "Advocating Justice and Opposing Power".The purpose of the publication was to cooperate with the "New Youth" monthly magazine to analyze current affairs in a timely manner.This article takes the text content of the "Weekly Review" as the research object,and combines important events such as the NorthSouth Conference,the Paris Peace Conference,and the May Fourth Movement that have occurred successively at home and abroad to study how the journal closely integrates the details of the current situation and publishes remarks to oppose The imperialist powers colluded with the traitorous government to undermine China's sovereignty,oppress the Chinese people,and oppose feudal autocracy.Culture has become a tool for autocratic rulers to practice obscurity and confine the people's thinking.This article consists of three parts:The first part,the first chapter,mainly studies the background and development stage of the weekly review.The background of the publication is divided into two parts: internal affairs and diplomacy.The development stage first introduces the basic situation of "Weekly Review",and then discusses the development of "Weekly Review" in three stages based on the May Fourth Movement and Hu Shi as the node.The second part is composed of chapters 2,3 and 4.The second chapter mainly discusses how the "Weekly Review" combined the important event of the May Fourth Patriotic Movement to conduct anti-imperialist propaganda,and summarizes the characteristics of the "Weekly Review" anti-imperialist propaganda.The third chapter analyzes how "Weekly Review" carried out antifeudal propaganda in the New Culture Movement period from the field of ideology and culture,and summarizes the characteristics of "Weekly Review" anti-feudal propaganda.The fourth chapter focuses on the special experience of changing editors of "Weekly Review",compares the period of Chen Duxiu and Hu Shi,analyzes the differences between anti-imperialist and anti-feudal propaganda,and explores the reasons for these differences.The third part is the conclusion of this article.It mainly summarizes the historical significance and realistic enlightenment of the anti-imperialist and anti-feudal propaganda in "Weekly Review".
