Art Animation Studies By Michael Dudewitt

Michael Dudok de Wit is an internationally renowned Dutch animator.His animation works are not many,but frequently won international awards,each work for the audience to bring new horizons.Michael Dudok de Wit uses the story to create a classic animation film,Simple Style,music integration,deep emotion,oriental art and European art combined,showing the Director’s unique animation style.Through the study of Michael Dudok de Wit’s art animation,we can enrich the history of western European animation and promote the development of art animation.First of all,the research of this paper is based on the current research situation at home and abroad,through understanding the Michael Dudok de Wit’s personal life,social background,in-depth analysis of animation works,summed up the impact factors of his artistic animation creation,and from the beginning of animation works,style start-up,language maturity,style development of the four stages of their six animation works were analyzed.Secondly,it summarizes the art animation language of Michael Dudok de Wit from the following four aspects: story writing,traditional and strong visual language,strict sound design and individualized animation design.In addition,through the understanding of the creation process and content of Michael Dudok de Wit’s animation works,in-depth analysis of his animation works into the Zen Buddhism cultural connotation and emotional connotation.In the end,we will integrate Michael Dudok de Wit’s artistic animation creation and draw inspiration from it,so as to enhance the cross-cultural communication,experimental exploration spirit and inject cultural connotation into the animation works,it enriches the expression form and the creation method of art animation,realizes the art value of animation,and urges the animation Creator to make more profound animation works.
