Language plays an important role in human communication and communication.It is an important medium for communication between different countries and nations.With the continuous improvement of China's international influence,more and more people begin to learn Chinese in order to meet the needs of understanding China.The "Chinese fever" is heating up.Since its establishment in 1978,the discipline of teaching Chinese as a foreign language has made great progress both in discipline construction and in teaching research and application.It has formed a unique theoretical and practical system of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and the related research results emerge in an endless stream.All these have laid an important foundation for the promotion and development of Chinese teaching as a foreign language in China.Academic periodicals play an important role in the development of subject areas.It presents and disseminates the latest research results in this field,and provides important references for the follow-up research on topics and research directions.It has broadened the research scope of the subject field and made great contributions to the development of the subject.Chinese language Learning is a core academic journal in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In both scientific research ability and academic influence,to some extent,it can reflect the status of development in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The collation and analysis of the papers published in Chinese language Learning can help researchers clarify the history of research development and provide important information about research methods and research directions for future research.Cite Space is a kind of visualized bibliometrics software emerging in recent years,which is a new tool widely used in the field of bibliometrics.Through the visual processing of the collected literature,it can show the important information of the research subject,the research co-citation,the research hot spot and the research frontier of a certain subject in the form of scientific knowledge map.Through the search of relevant literature,it is found that there are few articles in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language using Cite Space software for related research,and even less for related academic journals.Therefore,this paper uses Cite Space software to take the articles published in Chinese language Learning from 2000 to2019 in CNKI as sample data.After the data information is derived,it analyzes the journal articles,research subjects,research hotspots and research frontiers,and generates the corresponding scientific knowledge map.This paper reviews the research progress of Chinese language Learning in the past 20 years,and makes some predictions about the future development trend.Firstly,this paper introduces the software from the aspects of software analysis method and software theory foundation.The data source is explained in detail in terms of the selection of the database,the source of the data,the journal and the time span.The data are processed from the aspects of data acquisition and conversion,parameter setting and graph generation.Secondly,the paper expounds the general situation of the journal,analyzes the journal publication from the aspect of annual publication and fund literature distribution,and makes statistics on the citation amount of the journal literature.At the same time,the highly cited references were analyzed in detail.Thirdly,this paper uses author co-occurrence chart and institution co-occurrence chart to conduct visual analysis on the author and institution respectively.It identifies core authors and core institutions,and elaborates on author cooperation and institutional cooperation.Finally,this paper uses the keyword co-occurrence map to analyze the six hot topics and their contents:grammaticalization,cognition,teaching Chinese as a foreign language,adjectives,function and construction.It uses time zone diagrams to show the evolution of hot topics.According to the emergent words,this paper analyzes the frontiers and their contents,and divides them into two stages.In the first stage(2000-2005),the frontier topics are summarized as the study of foreign students,the study of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the study of adverbs and the study of adjectives.The frontier topics of the second stage(2008-2019)are summarized as discourse marker research,pragmatic function research,construction research and prosody research.And the eight frontiers of the theme are explained in detail.This paper summarizes the development of Chinese language Learning in the past 20 years from the aspects of papers,research subjects,research hotspots and research frontiers.It is expected to provide reference for journals and scholars to publish papers and promote the development of this field.
