Bibliometric Analysis Of 20 Years Based On CiteSpace's "Language Teaching And Research"

CiteSpace is a kind of information visualization software that has been widely used in China in recent years.It can generate graphs of data and information for visual analysis.This paper uses Co-word Analysis,Cluster Analysis and information visualization theories to draw a map of scientific knowledge in the field of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language,aiming to visually display the research hotspots,research frontiers and development trends in the field of TCFL.This article uses the papers published in the core journal "Language Teaching and Research" from 2000 to 2019 as data samples,and derives data from the CNKI database.It mainly analyzes the journal's publication status,research subjects,research hotspots and research frontiers.Use CiteSpace software to generate visual maps,including author cooccurrence maps,institutional co-occurrence maps,keyword co-occurrence maps,keyword time zone maps,etc.Then it analyzes the authors,publishing organizations,keywords and emergent words of the journal in the past two decades.Based on bibliometrics,this paper analyzes the number of articles and citations of journals in detail,including annual articles,fund documents and annual citations.This article found that the annual publication volume of journals is significantly affected by the journal page number,but the proportion of funded documents continues to increase,and the citation rate of journal documents is as high as 97.44%,which also reflects the academic value of "Language Teaching and Research".This article is based on CiteSpace which can draw a graph to analyze the authors and organizations of the journal.Based on the author's Co-occurrence map and time-zone chart,the evolution of high-frequency authors and groups is analyzed.According to the Price formula and the two indicators of high publication and high citation,core authors are selected.According to the author's time-zone chart of cooperative relations,the cooperative groups can be analyzed.Through the institutional Co-occurrence map and clustering map,highfrequency organizations and high emergent organizations are analyzed.This paper uses the method of information visualization to analyze the research hotspots and research frontiers in the field of TCFL.With the help of CiteSpace,keyword Cooccurrence map and keyword time-zone diagram can analyze high-frequency keywords and keywords with high centrality,and can also summarize the research hotspots and hotspot evolution trends in the field of TCFL.The research hotspots including the following six aspects: "Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language","Second Language Acquisition","Subjectivity","Grammaticalization","Lexicalization","Discourse Markers".Use the keyword burst function to analyze frontier emergent words,and divide the obtained emergent words into early research frontiers,mid-term research frontiers and recent research frontiers by time.Early research frontier topics include "Social Linguistics","Beijing Dialect" and "Cognition";mid-term research frontier topics include "Teaching Strategy","Discourse Markers" and "Grammaticalization";recent research frontier topics include "Construction","Second Language Acquisition" and "Interactive Linguistics".
