The Warring States Chu Bamboo Slips Collected by Shanghai Museum(hereinafter referred to as "Shanghai Museum Bamboo Slips")has been published nine volumes since 2001.These bamboo slips are rich in content and have a high research value,which has caused a thorough and in-depth study in the academic circles.At present,the research achievements on Shanghai Museum Bamboo Slips are very fruitful and quite gratifying.However,it is undeniable that there are still many words and sentences in the Shanghai Museum Bamboo Slips that need to be further cleaned up and studied.On the other hand,the theories of explaining words in ancient books of bamboo slips and silks are still being explored and perfected,and related researches are in the ascendant.It is of great benefit to deepen the study of the two by combining the interpretation practice of Shanghai Museum Bamboo Slips with the existing interpretation theory of ancient books of bamboo slips and silks,which is also the proper meaning of the interpretation of ancient Chinese characters.This article focuses on the interpretation and correction of the words in the Shanghai Museum Bamboo Slips,which is divided into five parts:The first part is "correction according to ’the method of seeking meanings by reason of glyphs’ ".While elaborating the relevant theories,we discuss them in conjunction with our interpretation examples.This chapter interpretes and corrects 4characters in total.The second part is "correction according to the ’method of seeking meanings based on word’s pronunciation’",which is specifically divided into two parts: "finding the meanings according to the pronunciation of the whole word " and "finding the meanings according to the phonetic symbols of pictophonetic characters".A total of 20 words were explained and corrected in this chapter.The third part is " correction according to the ’contextual approach’ ".This chapter explores the understanding of some words and sentences by means of context.In this chapter,9 words were explained and corrected.The fourth part is "correction according to the’ comprehensive textual research method ’".This part comprehensively applies the three interpretation methods discussed in the first three chapters to the practice of the interpretation of the Shanghai Museum Bamboo Slips.In this chapter,4 words are explained and corrected.The last part is "conclusion",which summarizes and supplements the main results of this article,and looks forward to the prospects for the interpretation of ancient books of bamboo slips and silks in the Warring States Period. |
