In recent years,the state has paid more and more attention to the all-round development of students,formulated a clear system and put forward strict requirements for non subject training outside school.As a powerful "green supplement",dance training plays an important role that can not be ignored.So how to effectively carry out dance teaching outside school is worthy of joint thinking and research by dance teachers.Since most of the teaching objects of off-campus dance training are children and the author has relevant teaching experience,the author chooses children as the experimental research objects.Then in the investigation and analysis of children’s dance teaching status,found that students’ learning initiative is not high problem is more prominent.Therefore,the author designed questionnaires from the five dimensions of direct learning needs,indirect learning needs,learning objectives,self-confidence and emotion,and distributed them to students and parents before and after the experiment to fill in.Then,the data before and after the test were collected,compared and analyzed to test whether children’s learning initiative was improved.Swiss psychologist Jean Piaget will be mentioned for his research on children’s physical and mental development.He observed and recorded children through clinical methods,analyzed the cognitive development and changes of children at different stages,and finally formed the cognitive development theory.This theory emphasizes the important role of action in intellectual development,and expounds the four stages,processes and influencing factors of cognitive development.Many of them are closely related to children’s dance teaching,which has certain guiding significance for children’s dance teaching.This paper uses the methods of questionnaire,teaching experiment,mathematical statistics,interview and literature to study,and uses Piaget’s cognitive development theory to guide children’s dance teaching.Taking the students aged 4-11 in Danse Dance Art in Panyu District of Guangzhou as the experimental object,the teaching experiment was carried out for 12 weeks.Through the visual test data before and after,compare and analyze the degree of students’ learning initiative.The experimental results show that:First,under the guidance of Piaget’s cognitive development theory,children’s dance teaching generally improves students’ learning initiative.Secondly,under the guidance of Piaget’s cognitive development theory,children’s dance teaching has effectively improved the deficiencies of students’ direct learning needs,indirect learning needs and learning objectives in the pre-test.Third,under the guidance of Piaget’s cognitive development theory,children’s dance teaching not only maintains the students’ good self-confidence in the specific operation stage,but also improves the initiative in learning objectives and indirect learning needs.Fourth,compared with the students in the previous operation stage,the students in the specific operation stage have fewer aspects to improve their learning initiative,and the improvement effect is not as good as the students in the previous operation stage.
