Adjustment And Development: A Study Of Hakka Culture Changes In Luodai Under The Background Of Tourism Development (1996-2019)

The study of cultural change has always been an important subject of concern in the disciplines of anthropology and ethnology.In recent years,with the continuous development of tourism,tourism activities have become an important factor affecting the cultural changes of ethnic groups and should not be underestimated.Sichuan Province,as the fifth largest province of Hakkas in China,it has more than two million Hakkas.It can be imagined that the study of Hakka culture change in Sichuan Province plays an important role in the study of Hakka culture in China and even in the world.Therefore,this paper takes Luodai Town,which is the first Hakka town in Western Sichuan Province,as a case study.Based on the introduction of Luodai's natural climate,geographic transportation,historical evolution,tourism development,the local colorful traditional Hakka culture and local tourism.This paper mainly analyzes the changes of Hakka's residential buildings,traditional cuisines,festival customs,religious beliefs,ethnic identity,profit-seeking thoughts and other cultures in Luodai under the development of local tourism,and probes into the characteristics of the changes of local Hakka culture and problems in the process of cultural change.At the same time,it also thinks about how to achieve the coordinated development of Luodai tourism and Hakka culture.It is expected to provide some reference suggestions for the protection and inheritance of Hakka culture in the context of tourism development.This thesis is composed of an introduction and four chapters.Firstly,the introduction mainly explains the reason for choosing the topic,the meaning of the topic,the significance of the topic,a review of domestic and foreign research,research methods,research theory,research ideas,field selection,and innovation of the paper.The first chapter mainly introduces the basic overview of Luodai,focusing on the nature,geography,climatic conditions,historical evolution,origin of Hakkas,overview of tourism development.The second chapter is the core content of this paper.Based on the theory of cultural change,cultural acculturation and tourists'gaze,it focuses on a series of changes of local Hakka culture after the development of tourism in Luodai town.This paper focuses on the material culture represented by residential buildings,traditional food and transportation,as well as the spiritual culture represented by folk festivals,family roles,women's status,belief worship,ethnic consciousness and identity,commodity economy consciousness and profit-seeking ideology,to elaborate the contents of Hakka cultural change.Although these contents can not all cover the local Hakka culture,they are representative.The third chapter is the characteristics and problems of Hakka culture changes in Luodai.The first section is the characteristics of Hakka culture changes,mainly including the permanence of Hakka culture changes,the material culture changes faster than the spiritual culture changes,the tourism development and tourists' gaze accelerate the local Hakka culture changes,and the Hakka culture changes gradually expand from individual to group.The second section is about the problems existing in the Hakka cultural changes of Luodai under the development of tourism,including the over commercialization of some Hakka cultural changes,the degradation of some cultural values in the process of Hakka people's tourism market activities,and the enhancement of the performance of Hakka folk festivals under the gaze of tourists.The fourth chapter discusses the coordinated development of Luodai tourism and Hakka cultural changes.First of all,we should treat the changes of Hakka culture rationally in the process of tourism development in Luodai.Secondly,establishing and improving the cultural consciousness of Hakka people in Luodai.Thirdly,we should actively guide the Hakka culture of Luodai in the development of tourism to benign changes.Finally,adhering to the concept of cultural protection and inheritance in tourism development is the fundamental to realize the coordinated development of Luodai tourism and Hakka cultural changes.
