China has been a unified multi-ethnic country since ancient times. However, since the founding of the People's Republic of China,Taiwan has been lonely overseas. As a result,China has become the only country among the five permanent members of the UN Security Council that has not yet achieved complete reunification. On July 4,1776,the United States officially declared independence. But just over 80 years later, the North and South states broke out for a four-year-long civil war due to serious differences in slavery.Eventually, the Union was reunited under the tenacious fighting in the north led by Lincoln.Reunification is the prerequisite for the stable existence of a country.Any country has its own understanding and concepts on the issue of reunification and anti-secession.However,the content and characteristics of concepts are different due to the pressure of anti-secession and historical and cultural backgrounds. Therefore,it is of great significance to sort out the content and similarities and differences of the concepts on the issue of reunification between America and China. This paper compares the three dimensions of national identity, the laws and systems about national unification, and the concepts of leaders between China and the United States, and finds that the similarities between the two countries 'national unification views include: First,In terms of identity, both China and the United States embody the construction of national nations, and both attach importance to the role of language in national identity. They also face complex issues of national identity. In terms of national identity, war and revolution have shaped the national spirit of the two countries. The establishment and governance of the state reflects the subjectivity of the people, and also has the basis of national identity, all have a high cohesive political value basis, and all reflect the symbolic meaning of the national symbol.Second,in terms of legal system, the constitutions of the two countries do not grant local separation rights. The Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China and the US Federal Criminal Code are similar.Third,in terms of leadership concepts, they have demonstrated the firmness of the principles of maintaining national unity and the strategic flexibility of achieving national unity. They all attach importance to the role of the integration of the constitution and laws and economic life, and at the same time resolutely oppose foreign forces to interfere in national unity process. The differences include: first,in terms of national identity, the national identity of the two countries, the development trend of national characteristics, and the way of building national identity are different;in terms of national identity, there are differences in the historical heritage, identity structure, ideology, and construction methods.Second,in terms of the legal system,it is mainly manifested in differences in the legal system, the constitution, the law,the system, the state structure, and the state power relations.Third, there are differences in the concept of leaders mainly in diachronicity, synchronicity, identity structure, political ideas, internal and external, and the role of war.By sorting out the history of Chinese and American reunification and comparing the similarities and differences between the two countries' views on national unification,we can see that national unification is the cornerstone of economic prosperity, the legal system is an important guarantee for maintaining national unification, and building identity is the fundamental strategy for maintaining national unification.Since the founding of the People's Republic of China,Taiwan has been separated from the mainland of the motherland. The pressure on China to resist secession and promote reunification is also a huge risk point on the road to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Although the two sides of the strait have not achieved reunification, the fact that the two sides of the strait belong to the same country has never changed. The only thing is to continue to adhere to the principle of the "92 Consensus" and adhere to the "cross-strait family" concept.Only with the Taiwan model can the great cause of national reunification be achieved, and all the Chinese people on the two sides of the strait can negotiate, govern and share a win-win situation.
