The Development Of The International Organization For Migration From The Perspective Of Autonomy

The International Organization for Migration has grown from an initial temporary transport agency to an important organization in the field of global migration governance in the process of participating in global migration governance,and its independence has played an important role.Therefore,the author attempts from the perspective of the autonomy to study the development of the International Organization for Migration.This article combs the concepts and theories of the autonomy of international organizations,and analyzes the development process of the International Organization for Migration in conjunction with this theory.Since its establishment,the International Organization for Migration(IOM)has undergone four name changes,and in the course of development,it has continuously broken through the restrictions imposed on it by member States and its autonomy has been continuously enhanced.In its inception,it was only an agency tool for Western countries,whose functions were limited to dealing with the transport of migrants in Europe,then expanded its functions through the revision of its statutes,transformed its development and enhanced its global capacity for migration governance,and eventually the professionalism and authority of the International Organization for Migration(IOM)was recognized as an associate organization of the United Nations system and its autonomy consolidated.Through the analysis,It can be seen that the enhancement of the autonomy of the International Organization for Migration is synchronized with the development of the organization,and it can be seen that the important source of vitality of international organizations is mainly the enhancement of its autonomy,it can be seen that the important source of vitality of international organizations is mainly its autonomy,the autonomy of the International Organization for Migration(IOM)has made it flexible to adapt to changes in the international migration environment,and the International Organization for Migration has accumulated experience in practice,using professional knowledge to better solve migration problems and improve the ability of global migration governance,thereby promoting the orderly conduct of global migration governance.
