Trump Voter Study In The 2020 Election

The US election is one of the most important elections in the world.In 2020,the United States experienced a severe economic downturn,the rampant spread of the epidemic,and fierce racial rivalries.The 2020 presidential election shows something different from previous elections.In the Electoral College,Biden won the presidential election by 306 votes to Trump's 232.Since the 2016 election,American society has been divided for a long time.The phenomenon of voters of both parties taking sides along party lines is very common.Under this background,both parties will mobilize their voters to the greatest extent around supporting or opposing Trump.In all aspects of the research on the US election,this paper especially selects the American voters as the research perspective,taking Trump voters as the research object and the 2020 election as the case study.Based on various related research results of the 2020 US election and reports of polling institutions,this paper analyzes and studies the overall composition,characteristics,swing states and future trend of Trump voters,in order to provide an observation perspective for the relevant research of the 2020 US election.In general,this paper believes that Trump's voter structure in the 2020 election has the following characteristics: First,Mr Trump's base of voters remains stable.Second,Mr Trump's white,blue-collar constituencies are clearly wavering compared with 2016,and this determines the direction of key swing states.Third,centrist voters and independent voters almost all went to Biden,which is a large part of Trump's electorate loss.Fourth,Mr Trump did much better than expected with minority groups and other voters.The practical research significance of this paper is to study the possibility of Trump contacting voters in the future.On the one hand,there is still the possibility that Trump will run in 2024.On the other hand,Republicans still cannot ignore Mr Trump's 74 m vote base and his sheer appeal among conservative voters.The Republican Party's internal reform must also consider integrating the content and characteristics of "Trump" in order to maintain its inherent voter base.In short,the different path choices within the Republican Party will play a key role in the future election results of the Republican Party.
