On Animal Welfare Legislation

The construction of China's ecological civilization is constantly advancing,but China does not have a special animal welfare law,so that incidents of animal welfare violations occur from time to time but are difficult to contain.Animals are also an important part of the ecosystem.We should legislate for animal welfare.In view of this reality,this paper introduces the concept and content of animal welfare,the historical development of China's animal welfare thought,the current situation of China's animal welfare legislation,and the content of the extraterritorial animal welfare law,analyzes the difference between animal welfare and animal rights,and analyzes the shortcomings of China's current animal-related legislation.This paper expounds the feasibility and necessity of animal welfare legislation in China,sorts out the enlightenment of the extraterritorial animal welfare law to China's animal welfare legislation,and finally puts forward suggestions for China's animal welfare legislation,and carries out the construction of legislative principles and related systems.
