The Local Practice Of Propaganda By The Communist Party Newspaper: A Study Of Huai Poster (1941-1949)

Huai Hai Journal is the local party newspaper of the Huaihai anti-Japanese base area in northern Jiangsu.It founded on November 7th,1941,and it has witnessed the whole course of the establishment,development and revolutionary victory of the Huaihai District.Huai Hai Journal was an outstanding member of the local party newspaper of the Communist Party of China in the period of the new democratic revolution,which took the lead in the circulation and communication work in northern Jiangsu and the liberated area of central China.This study first investigates the historical background of the establishment of Huai Hai Journal,whose birth meets the historical needs of the construction of the anti-Japanese base area in northern Jiangsu under the situation of anti-Japanese and national salvation.It shows that Huai Hai Journal was founded on the basis of ideology,culture,education and transportation.Then,this study summarizes the birth and development course,the policy and the basic content of Huai Hai Journal.This study states the change of main reports of Huai Hai Journal,in two specific historical period:the Anti-Japanese War and the Liberation War(it covers the period from the victory of the Anti-Japanese War to the outbreak of civil war on a full scale),from which we find the stories and the layout diversified gradually,and the running style of newspaper popularized eventually.This study takes Huai Hai Journal as the center to analyze its influence on the construction of local social undertakings in Huaihai District.The party's regime construction in Huaihai District provided the political protection for the journal;the popularization of education strengthened the cultural foundation of issuing the newspaper;and the rectification movement conferred ideological and professional guidance.At the same time,Huai Hai Journal was also one of the forces to promote the development of Huaihai District.It has established a grassroots communication network of masses,promoted the unity of the military,government and people in Huaihai District,and helped to enlighten the people's wisdom by spreading scientific and health knowledge.Huai Hai Journal is of historical value for its demonstration of development process and revolutionary style of Huaihai District.It was a powerful assistant of the Communist Party of China in carrying out revolutionary struggle,governance and uniting the masses in Huaihai District.Huai Hai Journal made full use of the advantages of local party newspapers,went deep into the masses,guided the masses,united the masses to participate in the news work,carried out the mass line of the party newspaper,promoted the social development,and helped Huaihai District finally win the victory of the revolution.
