Research On Government Functions In The Development Of Modern Service Industry

The development degree of modern service industry is a significant symbol of the level of social modernization.All countries in the world regard modern service industry as a strategic industry that participates in global competition,and it is also the critical industry for China‘s transition from a world economic power to a world economic giant.Therefore,the development of modern service industry has a practical significance for China‘s economic growth and economic structure adjustment.But on the whole,there are still some problems in the development of China's modern service industry.The development of modern service industry still lags behind that of manufacturing and other industries.Gaps existed compared with developed countries.It has become a new topic in the economic field how can we use strengths and avoid weakness to develop modern service industry quickly and efficiently,especially in how the government should perform its functions to promote the development of modern service industry.From the perspective of government public management,this thesis takes Liyang as an example and uses document method,statistical method and case methods to conduct an in-depth analysis of the government's role in promoting the development of modern service industries,so as to explore government's function in the development of modern service industry.Specifically,this thesis firstly,conduct a literature review at home and abroad after clarifying the selected topic and its significance,and expound the current research status of this subject at home and abroad,revealing the research foundation.Secondly,the core concepts and theoretical basis of this article has been conducted.thirdly,through the status quo of government performance in the development of modern service industry in Liyang City,highlight the success of Liyang City Government in promoting the development of modern service industry.Fourthly,look for problems in the functioning of the government in the development of modern service industry in Liyang City,and find out the internal causes of the problems.Fifthly,start from the same types of cities in China: Wujin District of Changzhou City and Yuhang District of Hangzhou City,the two governments carefully sort out the process of supporting the development of modern service industries.Finally,in view of the above mentioned problems,from the formulation of industrial policies,the formulation of planning programs and other functional issues at various levels of investigation and research,for the function of Liyang City government in the development of modern service industry to put forward some scientific,feasible and innovative suggestions.
