The difference between urban and rural areas is a measure of whether urban and rural development is balanced. It is related to the establishment of a harmonious society and to the development of the country's people's livelihood. The difference between urban and rural education is the most important difference between urban and rural areas. The status quo of urban-rural education is the detection of the integration of urban and rural education. Therefore, based on the existing research results, based on the perspective of chemistry, the quantitative and qualitative methods are used to compare the urban-rural differences between high school chemistry education in Hubei Province from the perspectives of schools, teachers and students,in order to comprehensively form Accurate understanding of the status quo of urban and rural high school chemistry education in Hubei Province, find out the differences between urban and rural education and important issues that need to be resolved, and provide a basis for promoting the integration of urban and rural education in Hubei Province. The problems to be solved in this study are as follows:(1)What is the implementation difference between the urban and rural high school education system in Hubei Province?(2)What is the difference in chemical education between urban and rural high schools in Hubei Province?(3)What are the differences in the chemical education between urban and rural high schools in Hubei Province? What are the targeted improvements? This research is divided into the following six parts:The first part is the introduction, which introduces the origin of research, research problems and significance as well as research ideas, objects and methods. The second part is literature review, which is the core concept of this study:"fairness and educational equity"."The integration of urban-rural dual structure and urban-rural education" and "urban and rural" are defined. On this basis, the research results of education equity and urban-rural differences at home and abroad are sorted out and analyzed. The third part is the analysis of Hubei in recent years. The implementation of the urban and rural high school education system;the fourth part is to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze and summarize the situation of urban and rural schools, teachers and students;the fifth part is to quantitatively and quantitatively analyze the situation of schools, teachers and students from different levels of secondary schools in the district.Qualitative analysis and summary;the sixth part describes the conclusions, innovations, reflections and prospects of the research. The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)From the perspective of education policy, the Hubei Provincial People's Government has clearly proposed to tilt towards rural high school education. From the perspective of education funding, the gap between urban and rural high school funding has been greatly reduced. From the perspective of the allocation of educational resources, the construction of school buildings in rural high schools has been greatly improved.(2)The proportion of boarding in urban high school is much lower than that in rural high schools; The scale of running schools in urban high schools is relatively large. The phenomenon of "large class" in rural high schools is more common;the construction of chemical laboratories in rural schools, the allocation of materials and teachers are lagging behind urban schools. The chemistry teacher of high school in the town which qualifications, title structure is better than rural high school;there is no difference in the awareness of education and scientific research participation in urban and rural schools, but the opportunities for rural high school chemistry teachers to participate in education and scientific research and the ability to implement education and research are lower than those in urban high schools; The pressure of teaching tasks form rural high school chemistry teachers is higher than that of towns, but its annual income is much lower than that of towns;urban high school chemistry teachers have a higher understanding of the curriculum objectives than rural areas, but there is no difference in the degree of implementation of the curriculum. The family economic situation of high school students in rural schools is worse than that of urban schools. The "left-behind children" are still a problem in rural areas;the learning pressures of urban and rural students are heavier, especially in urban areas;high school students in urban enjoy the extracurricular learning opportunity of chemistry provided by schools is higher than the rural school.(3)The phenomenon of "large class" is an important issue in middle schools at all levels. The shortage of quality education resources in ordinary middle schools is serious. The secondary schools in the provincial capitals have obvious advantages in the construction of laboratories.Counties and townships districts are important "objects for poverty alleviation".High school chemistry teachers in provincial and municipal provincial of provincial model middle schools are superior to other middle schools in terms of scientific research ability and scientific research literacy, and different levels of secondary schools in counties districts and townships are weaker;High school chemistry teachers in ordinary middle schools have the greatest pressure on life and teaching pressure compared to high school chemistry teachers in other types of schools;Middle school high school chemistry teachers in different regions have a good working condition, but the high school chemistry teachers in township ordinary middle schools need to strengthen their understanding of the course objectives. The problem of "left-behind children" and shortage of quality resources in"general secondary schools" is more serious;the problem of "burden reduction" is hindered in provincial demonstration schools, and provincial high schools should be the focus of attention;provincial model middle schools in provincial and city/state offer students a wealth of extracurricular chemistry learning opportunities, and counties districts and townships need to be improved.
