In the 21st Century,the word requires students to implement the concept of lifelong learning,to improve their ability to adapt to society and to improve their ability to solve problems.This requires students to be able to recognize their own cognitive activities,constantly monitor their own operations in the cognitive process,and choose appropriate solutions.These functions are the role of metacognition in problem solving.Teachers should teach students not only knowledge but also skills.This study studied the metacognitive level of senior high school students,the status quo of metacognitive in chemical balance problem solving and the relationship between them by means of interviews and questionnaires.This study explores the role of metacognition in solving chemical equilibrium problems,so that teachers and students can attach importance to the role of metacognition in problem solving.The following is the research framework and conclusion of this paper:The first part is theoretical basis.Through the study of literature and the actual situation of my school,I put forward the questions I want to study,and designed the research ideas and methods.I read the relevant literature,elaborated on the key concepts and structures of metacognition and problem-solving,and clarified the relationship between metacognition and problem-solving,and proposed the role of Metacognition in problem solving.The part is design research process.The author compiled a metacognitive level questionnaire with good reliability and validity for solving chemical equilibrium problems.Using this questionnaire to measure students'metacognitive level.The author compiled the chemical balance test questions to test the students' chemical balance problem solving.Then,according to the results,the students were divided into high group and low group.In order to carry out follow-up experiments.The third part is the research results and conclusions.Based on the analysis of experimental data,we got the results and conclusions,and give suggestions for developing students'metacognitive level.The following is the research conclusion of this paper:? The overall metacognitive level of senior high school students is on the upper side.They have more metacognitive knowledge and rich metacognitive experience,but their planning,monitoring,control and evaluation levels are low.? The development of metacognitive level shows a spiral upward trend with the development of psychology.? There are significant differences in metacognitive level between excellent students and poor students.The students with high ability of solving chemical balance problems scored significantly higher in each dimension of metacognition and metacognition than those with low ability of solving chemical balance problems.? There is a significant positive correlation between chemical equilibrium problem solving and metacognition.There are significant positive correlations between the two dimensions of chemical equilibrium problem solving,which are the factors affecting the movement of chemical equilibrium and the related calculation of chemical equilibrium,and each dimension of metacognition.
