The daily life of preschool children always revolves around various relationships, such as peer relationship,teacher-student relationship,parent-child relationship and so on.Among them, the mutual influence between children's peer relationship and mental health is related to whether children can grow up healthily. In recent years, mental health problems have been paid more and more attention by the state and society. The mental health problems of preschool children at the beginning of life cannot be ignored. Therefore, based on the analysis of social networks, this study explored the relationship between peers at different levels and in different categories, combined with the survey results of the mental health questionnaire, found the relevance of social networks and mental health in children's peer relationships. The purpose is help parents and teachers understand children's peer relationship and mental health status, and provide reference for better implementation of education and teaching. This study surveyed 188 children in 6 senior classes in urban and rural areas.Firstly, the peer relationship of young children is measured by the peer nomination method, and UCINET software is used as a tool to analyze the social network of peer relationships. The peer relationship of young children usually develops in the class where they are located, and can be divided into an overall level and an individual level:the overall level takes the class as the unit, which is mainly represented by the density of the class social network;Peer relations at the individual level take the individual as the unit, including the relationship between the individuals, which is shown as the strong tie and weak tie of the social network;the relationship between the individual and the small group is shown as a clustering index;the relationship between the individual and the entire class group, represented as out-degree,in-degree,degree-centrality and closeness-centrality.Then,the mental health of young children is obtained by parents filling out the "Pre-school Child Mental Health Assessment Scale".This scale was adapted from Wang Xing's questionnaire and revised by Li Yonghui, which contains seven aspects of mental health:sentiment, character, social adaptation, behavior, association, habits and other aspects. Finally, all of the data about peer relationship and mental health were entered into SPSS 23.0,and descriptive statistics, difference test, correlation analysis and regression analysis were performed, the results are as follows:Firstly, the social network status of peer relationships among township children is generally better than that of urban children. In this survey,in addition to the strong tie between individual children in township children is significantly lower than urban children, the remaining social network indicators show that the peer relationship of township children is better than urban children. From the point of whole class, the densities of township classes are significantly higher than that of urban classes;from the perspective of the relationship between individuals and small groups, the clustering indexes of township children are generally higher than that of urban children;from the perspective of the relationship between individuals and groups, the degree-centralities of township children are generally higher than that of urban children, and the closenesscentralities are generally lower than that of urban children.Secondly, the mental health problems of urban children are more obvious than those of township children. In this survey, urban children's scores in all aspects of mental health are much higher than that of township children.Among them, the character problems of urban children are the most prominent, followed by emotion, behavior and habits;the behavior problems of township children are the most prominent, followed by emotion and character problems. In addition, urban boys have significantly more behavior problems than urban girls, and township boys have significantly more behavioral and social adaptation problems than township girls.Thirdly, there is a significant correlation between children's peer relationship and mental health. The results of this study show that the social network status and mental health of young children will affect each other. The weak tie that reflects the relationship between individuals has a significant impact on mental health;the in-degree,degree-centrality and closeness-centrality that reflect the relationship between individuals and groups have a significant impact on mental health, especially in-degree.In turn, social adaptation, sentiment, and total score of mental health can also significantly affect social network conditions.Combining the above results, this study makes recommendations to teachers and parents. The suggestions for teachers are:first, pay attention to the development of weak relationships and the maintenance of strong relationships;second, guide the "center"children to set an example and pay attention to the psychological development of marginal children; The generation of factions. The advice to parents is:urban parents should spend more time with their children and pay attention to the coordinated development of their children's body and mind;rural parents should pay more attention to children's peer relationship and mental health;fourth, improve the cohesion of the whole class.
