Creative education is an educational activity that focuses on cultivating innovative talents,while creativity is a key capability and an important representation of innovative talents.In recent years,innovative education such as maker and STEM has gradually entered the campus of primary and secondary schools and has become a hot topic of discussion.In this context,the teaching of visual programming suitable for children's programming has also set off a research boom around the world.Visual programming teaching is a new type of teaching activity under the slogan "Computer Science for All"proposed by Obama.With the rapid development of education informationization,visual programming teaching has gradually entered primary and secondary school classrooms.The original intention of introducing visual programming teaching in primary and middle school classrooms is to cultivate primary and secondary school students 'computational thinking and critical thinking,thereby promoting the development of students' innovation and creativity.As the current visual programming teaching in the lower grades of elementary schools is affected by traditional teaching models or teaching concepts,many front-line teachers still use traditional teaching strategies or methods to teach visual programming teaching content.In the process,teachers are more focused on teaching programming knowledge.Students are still stuck at the level of works and cases given by teachers.They cannot create programming works independently,ignore the development of students' creativity,and deviate from the original intention of visual programming teaching.Design thinking,as a teaching method,focuses on cultivating students' innovation and creativity,and is applicable to various disciplines.Its core concept is highly consistent with visual programming teaching,which can solve the current problem of visual programming teaching neglecting the cultivation of student creativity.For this reason,this study attempts to build a design mode of visual programming for lower primary school based on design thinking based on the design idea method and the goal of improving the creativity of lower primary school students.On this basis,relying on the programming cat course and selecting students from the lower grade artificial intelligence community class of the primary school affiliated to Xi'an Jiaotong University as research objects,carry out research on teaching application design and teaching action,and modify and improve the visual programming of lower grade primary school based on design thinking The teaching mode provides guidance and suggestions for visual programming teaching in the lower grades of elementary schools in the future.This research focuses on answering the following two questions:(1)How to build a visual programming teaching model based on design thinking in primary school?(2)Can the application of the visual programming teaching model based on design thinking in the lower grades of primary school enhance students' creativity?Based on this,first of all,this study systematically sorts out the related research status from two aspects of design thinking and visual programming teaching at home and abroad through literature analysis,and summarizes the existing problems in visual programming teaching research.It was found that design thinking can be applied to visual programming teaching and can theoretically enhance students' creativity.Secondly,based on the theoretical foundation,design thinking and visual programming instructional design inspiration,the basic elements of primary and lower grade visual programming teaching mode based on design thinking were extracted.Then,combing the existing visual programming teaching model and analyzing its existing problems,according to the level of the visual programming teaching process,the author builds a design thinking-based visual programming teaching model for lower grades of elementary school.Finally,the design of visual programming teaching in primary school based on design thinking is specifically designed from the aspects of research planning,research objectives,experimental objects and content,research tools,and preliminary preparation.And taking the students of the lower grade artificial intelligence community class of the primary school affiliated to Xi'an Jiaotong University as the research object,it carried out three rounds of action research using the steps of planning,action,observation and reflection.In the course of action research,the primary and lower grades of visual programming teaching model based on design thinking are mainly revised through teacher and student interviews,student creative design diaries,group study classroom observation tables and other tools.After the end of the three-round action,the author analyzed the differences in creativity tendency and classroom effects,and found that the visual programming teaching model based on design thinking in lower grades of primary school can enhance students' creativity and achieve the research purpose of this study.
