Research On Cai Yuanpei's Aesthetic Education Thought

Since Schiller proposed aesthetic education in the 18 th century,the issue of aesthetic education has been the focus of academic circles.In China,the pioneers of aesthetic education,such as Wang Guowei and Cai Yuanpei,first translated aesthetic education theory into Chinese culture.The study of aesthetic education has become more in-depth with the development of aesthetics.Mr.Cai Yuanpei is in an era of change between old and new.At the time when the country and the nation are facing the crisis of extinction,he has upgraded aesthetic education to a national education policy and has always adhered to the practice and implementation of aesthetic education.He put forward important expositions such as "Five Educations","Science and Fine Arts","Religion of Aesthetic Education","Don't Forget Aesthetic Education in Cultural Movements",and so on.Cai Yuanpei also did a lot of practice for aesthetic education.He translated and organized aesthetic works and gave aesthetic lectures.The opening of aesthetics classes at Peking University led to the establishment of student associations such as the Music Research Society,the Painting Research Society,and the Calligraphy Research Society.The establishment of the National Art College.There have been many achievements in the study of "religion of the aesthetic education".Based on the results of previous studies,this article believes that "religion" can also be interpreted as citizen religion,which is the social foundation.At that time,China was politically incompetent,its culture was destroyed,and its society lost its ability to integrate.It was urgently necessary to realize the construction of a social foundation through education and prepare for the establishment of a democratic state.In the trend of education to save the country,some scholars have realized that if we want to get rid of the state's poverty and weakness and move towards independence,we must educate themajority of the Chinese people.Most of the people in the country are concentrated in rural areas.Yan Yangchu,Liang Shuming,Tao Xingzhi,Fei Xiaotong and others have carried out vigorous education activities for civilian education,rural education and rural construction in rural China.Cai Yuanpei has always adhered to aesthetic education.Aesthetic education is universal,lifelong,and global.The value of aesthetic education is not only to cultivate a complete human nature and improve the realm of life,but also to propose a possible path for national construction.The contemporary social reality has changed.Technological development has provided great satisfaction in people's lives,but it has become increasingly empty and impetuous in spirit.Aesthetic education,as an "emotional education",should be paid more attention to.In practice,aesthetic education has encountered the dilemma of marginalization,utilitarianization,and secularization.We need to establish the correct value system and evaluation system to maximize the function of aesthetic education.It will also continue its mission in the new era when the nation has achieved independence and moving towards prosperity.
