As the exchanges between China and New Zealand are getting closer and closer,the trade agreement between the two countries will be upgraded again in 2019,and the demand for Chinese classes in New Zealand is also increasing.In order to better promote the development of the Chinese language class in New Zealand,this article focuses on the application of task-based language teaching(TBLT)in New Zealand's primary and Intermediate schools.According to the specific application of TBLT in 4 primary and Intermediate schools in New Zealand,the author hopes to provide references for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The content of this article is mainly divided into the following sections:The first chapter introduces the background,purpose,and significance of this research,analyzes the current status of domestic and foreign research on the TBLT,and briefly describes the main content and methods of this research.As the main theoretical basis of this study,Chapter 2 briefly describes the basic theory of the TBLT,analyzes the characteristics of teaching and Chinese classes in New Zealand's primary and Intermediate schools.Based on the results of the author's questionnaire,a feasibility analysis of TBLT in Chinese in New Zealand's primary and Intermediate schools is analyzed.In the context of New Zealand teaching,the third chapter sets up a specific teaching plan for TBLT based on teaching objects and goals.The whole teaching process was designed with the topics of "My Home","Food" and "Traveling".At the same time,taking the second unit "Food" in the teaching plan as an example,the author's teaching implementation in New Zealand's actual teaching process was recorded.Based on the author's teaching practice in New Zealand,the fourth chapter analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of TBLT in the Chinese classroom of New Zealand primary and Intermediate schools.In addition,Suggestions are put forward for the compilation of New Zealand Chinese syllabus and textbooks,New Zealand Chinese teachers and the training of Mandarin Language assistences.
