Declarative geographical knowledge plays an important role in geographical knowledge system,but it is difficult to remember.Declarative knowledge of geography is of great significance for cultivating students' core accomplishment in geography.But at present,there are not many related researches in China.Teachers have no systematic teaching strategies to refer to,and students' learning methods of declarative knowledge of geography are relatively single.This study was conducted in this context,and the following results have been achieved.Firstly,it identifies the types of declarative knowledge in geography,and it summarizes three characteristics of geographical declarative knowledge:large quantity,rich in content and knowledge is fragmented.Secondly,several problems have been identified.In terms of teachers:The first,teachers are not familiar with the relevant theoretical knowledge of geographical declarative knowledge.The second,the teaching strategies of declarative knowledge of geography are less considered and single.The third is teachers ignored the dominant position of students.The fourth is teachers ignored the traditional teaching media and rely too much on modern multimedia.The fifth is teachers ignored the characteristics of different types of geographical declarative knowledge.In terms of students: The first is students' exam-oriented thinking is stubborn.The second is the rigid memory method of students.The third is lacking of initiative.Thirdly,in view of the above problems,the following strategies are put forward.The first is the pre-class preparation strategy,including consolidating the relevant theoretical basis of geographical declarative knowledge and clarifying the composition of declarative knowledge in each class.Then there is the lecture strategy,including intuitive presentation strategy,contact life strategy,turn the text into a picture strategy,interpret the drawing in text strategy,teaching people to fish strategy,and use blackboard writing and drawing strategy.Finally,the review strategy after class including timely review,reasonable review,using mind map correctly,making full use of Internet resources and consolidate knowledge in practice.
