The Resrarch Of Influence Of Relevance To Philanthropic Foundation On Corporate Philanthropy

In recent years,more and more enterprises in China have established philanthropic foundations to achieve corporate social responsibility and improve reputation.Whether the relevance to philanthropic foundations have an impact on corporate philanthropy? And what cause of this phenomenon?First of all,this paper studies the distribution characteristics and information disclosure status of corporate Philanthropic Foundations Based on the statistical samples of philanthropic foundations established by A-share listed companies in China up to 2019.The results show that the establishment of corporate philanthropy foundation is mainly initiated by the company,the average score of information transparency index of corporate philanthropy foundation is increasing year by year,and the donation amount of corporate philanthropic foundation is higher than the public financial information which is disclosed through the website.In addition,compared with non-state-owned enterprises,state-owned enterprises set up less charitable foundations,but the amount of donation is higher.Finally,it is found that the lower the proportion of the largest shareholder is,the higher the donation amount is.Secondly,taking 2013-2018 A-share listed companies as the research sample,this paper examines the influence of the relevance between enterprises and philanthropic foundations on corporate philanthropic donation behavior.The results show that enterprises with philanthropic foundations donate more than those without foundations.Companies where executives work for philanthropic foundations also donate more than those who don't.It is found that enterprises relevance to philanthropic foundations will improve the level of philanthropic donation and promote the healthy development of philanthropy in China.These conclusions enrich the research on the causes of corporate philanthropy,and the research on corporate philanthropy foundation in China also provides suggestions for regulating the governance of corporate philanthropy foundation,which will protect the interests of shareholders and promote the healthy development of corporate philanthropy foundation.
