learning adversity is an individual in the learning process by the subjective or objective factors of interference,obstacles and can not achieve the expected goal of a situation.On the one hand,in the process of training and competition,athletes often encounter various kinds of adversity,but it is precisely because they can overcome and deal with these adversity that they can make progress and breakthrough at a higher level.On the other hand,due to individual differences and the influence of subjective and objective adverse factors,adversity may also make individuals unable to bear and unable to move forward.The discussion of mental toughness will be able to analyze how individuals can overcome adversity and the good adaptability shown by individuals after encountering adversity,as well as the final positive results.Based on mental toughness as theoretical background,this paper adopts literature method,questionnaire survey method,mathematical analysis and logical analysis,and the sports colleges and universities undergraduate badminton elective classes of students as the research object,on the basis of extensive research and practice,mainly through the adolescent mental resilience scale of mental toughness analysis badminton elective class five factors: cognitive,emotional control,focused,positive interpersonal assist to get the related data to quantify and family support,analysis the psychological of the students in sports colleges and universities undergraduate badminton elective class toughness characteristics and adversity in the face of the methods,understand and accept the conditions of adversity.Research shows that chengdu sports college undergraduate course badminton elective class the students' overall level of mental toughness is higher,the mental toughness of emotional control,target focused,positive cognitive,interpersonal assist and family support internal factors in the five factors influencing the highest score positive cognition,emotional control scored lowest,mental toughness level there are large differences between individuals;The overall mental toughness level of boys is higher than that of girls,and there is a significant difference in emotional control factors(P=0.00 < 0.05).The overall mental toughness level of students in sports training classes was higher than that of students in physical education majors,and there was a significant difference(P=0.01 < 0.05).There was no significant difference in mental toughness among students of different sports levels(P=0.79 > 0.05).
