STEM education integrates the four subjects of Science,Technology,Engineering and Mathematics with an interdisciplinary educational model,and it leads by problems,corresponds to students' practice as the basis,integrates students' knowledge of various subjects,cultivates students' independent ability to explore and acquire the information and new knowledge,improves students' ability of scientific inquiry and scientific thinking,and provides a new platform for the cultivation of students' scientific literacy.It not only emphasizes the mutual independence of each subject,but also attaches importance to the mutual permeability of each subject,which greatly promotes the all-round development of students' comprehensive quality.It also provides great help to realize the new goal of teachers' career development.Based on the objective and comprehensive understanding of education,the author feeds back the results by designing and implementing specific teaching cases.According to the senior school students' Biology learning contents in Grade Two and the students' learning ability,two experiments,making kimchi cake to detect the content of nitrite and exploring the optimum cuttage concentration of the analogues of plant auxin were selected to design the teaching contents and teaching processes.It takes the project(PBL)as the guide and the students as the main bodies,and carries on the concrete teaching operation.The first is to create problem situations and establish guiding models;next is to cooperate with teachers and students and design the preliminary experimental schemes;and explain the principle of the experiment and review the elementary knowledge;then,make group cooperative discussion and determine the experimental scheme;moreover,implement the experimental scheme,which especially pay attention to the explanation of safe operation;afterwards,make the communication and evaluation and take the feedback after class homework.Finally,the appropriate class is selected to carry out the teaching design,and the evaluation and feedback of the teaching effect are carried out in the data analysis of the test table before and after.According to the results,82.5 percent of students express they like the biology experiment,which incorporates educational ideas.It not only arouses students' enthusiasm for learning,but also develops students' ability of inquiry learning.Students have a high acceptance level of this neoteric way of teachingactivities,meanwhile,education improves students' interest in learning biology,develops and trains students' innovative consciousness and creative ability,and plays a certain role in cultivating students' biological core literacy.
