Middle school is a period of youth and a period of vital growth.Physical exercise can produce a variety of physical,mental,and social benefits.However,there are still many secondary school students who are easy to participate in physical exercise and difficult to adhere to physical exercise.As a result,their physical fitness has decreased.China has also issued a number of documents to emphasize the importance of physical exercise.Motivation for physical exercise is the psychological motivation and internal motivation of people's participation in exercise.Starting from the individual's motivation for physical exercise,studying the internal relationship between the motivation of middle school students' participation in physical exercise and exercise persistence behavior will help them maintain a better exercise persistence behavior,thereby promoting Its physical health.This article mainly uses the simplified version of the Physical Exercise Motivation Scale revised by Chen Shanping and Ren,and the Exercise Persistence Scale compiled by Wang Shen et al.This article studies the relationship between physical exercise motivation and physical exercise persistence for middle school students.Taking 680 middle school students in 4 middle schools in Liyang as the survey object,the literature data method,survey method and mathematical statistics method were mainly used to study the relationship between the two.The research results show that:(1)Both the physical exercise motivation scale and exercise persistence scale have good reliability and validity,and each of the five dimensions of physical exercise motivation and the three dimensions of exercise persistence are clearly assigned;(2)The overall situation of middle school students' physical exercise motivation is better,with significant differences in gender,grade,and school category.Among them,gender has significant differences in appearance motivation,fun motivation,and social motivation.Grades have significant differences in appearance motivation and social motivation.The differences are significant;the differences in school categories in health motivation,appearance motivation,fun motivation,and ability motivation are significant.(3)The overall situation of middle school students' exercise persistence is good,and the differences in gender,grade,and school category are significant.Among them,gender has significant differences in behavior,hard work,and emotional experience;grades have behavioral habits and hard work.There are significant differences in school behaviors;differences in behaviors,effort,and emotional experience in school categories are significant.(4)The relationship between physical exercise motivation and exercise persistence of middle school students is significant,except that the relationship between physical motivation and effort commitment is significant.Health motivation,fun motivation,ability motivation,and social motivation are all related to behavior habits,effort commitment,The relationship of emotional experience is significant.(5)In the regression analysis,in addition to the appearance and fun motivation dimensions,the three dimensions of health motivation,ability motivation,and social motivation of physical exercise motivation have predictive effects on behavioral habits,effort input,and emotional experience,and the prediction of ability motivation The effect is strongest.Based on this,suggestions are made:(1)In terms of motivation for physical exercise,promote the benefits of exercise,change the traditional teaching mode,improve students' awareness of physical exercise,and stimulate their motivation for physical exercise.(2)In terms of persistence in exercise,strengthen the emphasis on physical exercise,improve stadiums and facilities,and improve the quality of teaching to promote students'active participation in physical exercise.(3)In terms of physical exercise motivation and exercise persistence,emphasis is placed on the positive correlation between health motivation,ability motivation,and social motivation on student exercise persistence.
