| Physical exercise is easy to participate,but persistence is hard.College students are the mainstay of technological development,economic revitalization and social progress.In recent years,college students' physical fitness is not optimistic,microscopically speaking,college students' lack of persistence in physical exercise,and often exercise out of the situation.Many studies have explored the effects of personality traits on exercise persistence from a psychological perspective.It also points out that personality factors are important components of exercise persistence.Another study shows that exercise commitment is a direct antecedent variable that influences exercise persistence.However,the mechanism of the influence of hardiness and exercise commitment on exercise persistence,the relationship between them and their mechanism are still unclear.Therefore,this paper uses the "Hardiness Scale","Exercise Persistence Questionnaire","Exercise Commitment Scale" to investigate the college students in 12 universities in Wuhan,and obtains 688 valid questionnaires to explore the relationship among Hardiness Personality,Exercise Commitment and Exercise Persistence.This paper uses descriptive statistics and mean difference test to analyze the general characteristics of college students' hardiness,exercise commitment and exercise persistence.and explores their differences in gender,grade and student source type.The study also used correlation analysis and regression analysis to explore the impact of hardiness on exercise adherence of College students,and constructed a structural model to verify the mediating role of exercise commitment.The conclusions are as follows:(1)College students' hardiness personality,exercise commitment and exercise persistence are generally in the middle to upper level,and need to be further improved.(2)From the perspective of demographic variables,the level of exercise persistence of college students is not significantly different due to differences in student origin,but there are significant differences in gender and grade:girls are significantly better than boys;doctoral students>lower grades undergraduate>Master's students>Senior undergraduates.There are significant differences in the level of hardiness personality of college students in terms of gender,place of origin and grade:girls are significantly higher than boys;rural students are significantly higher than urban ones;in terms of grades,The order of the scores from high to low is:doctoral,master students,junior undergraduates,and senior undergraduates.The student's exercise commitment has no significant difference in gender,but there are significant differences in the place of birth and grade.The performance is as follows:rural college students are better than city ones;doctoral students>lower grade undergraduates>master students>upper grade undergraduates.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between the three aspects:students'hardiness personality,exercise commitment,and exercise persistence.And the hardiness personality and exercise commitment can significantly explain and predict the level of exercise persistence.(4)Exercise commitment plays a part of mediating role between hardiness personality and exercise persistence.That is,hardiness can not only directly promote college students' exercise persistence,but also indirectly affect exercise persistence through exercise commitment. |
