The core quality of biology is an indispensable part of the core quality of biology,which is conducive to students' understanding of life,cherishing life,loving life,respecting life,and establishing corresponding biological social responsibility.The concept of life is the foundation and pillar of the core literacy of biology,and the concept of structure and function is one of the concepts of life.The purpose of establishing the concept of structure and function is to let students discover the phenomenon of life,learn to explore the law of life activities,and then understand the essence of life.In this paper,the concept of structure and function is interpreted as that the structure and function of organisms are adaptive,are formed by the long-term evolution of organisms,and reflect the adaptation of organisms to the environment.In the life world,structure and function are an inseparable whole.The exploration of the relationship between structure and function has always been the basic work of biological research.The concept of structure and function reflects people's understanding of the relationship between life phenomena or activities.Molecule and cell,one of the compulsory modules in the senior high school biology textbook of human education edition,contains rich resources suitable for the cultivation of structure and function concept.It can be analyzed from the molecular level and cell level.It is a good carrier for cultivating students' structure and function concept and improving the core quality of biology discipline.TFU teaching mode,namely teaching for understanding,is translated into "teaching for understanding".It is a teaching model developed by researchers and educators of Project Zero affiliated to Harvard University School of education in the 1990 s.According to the TFU teaching mode,teachers should first think about the important concepts in the field of biology before teaching,and design enlightening topics and understanding goals in combination with the characteristics of students;then design corresponding understanding activities according to the understanding goals;finally,design corresponding continuous evaluation for these understanding activities to evaluate whether students have achieved the understanding goals.The purpose of this study is whether the TFU teaching mode can really implement the cultivation of the concept of structure and function and effectively improve the students' core quality of biology.Through the experimental method,to set up the condition control way to carry on the practice research: in the second middle school of YibinCity,where I teach,two classes of the same level are selected,the experimental group adopts the TFU teaching mode as the main teaching method,while the control group adopts the traditional teaching method;the middle school entrance biology score is selected as the pretest,the middle school entrance examination in the last semester of senior one and the final examination in the last semester of senior one The scores of the two large-scale tests were taken as posttest 1 and posttest 2 respectively.SPSS software was used for statistical analysis to test the effectiveness of TFU teaching mode in promoting biology classroom teaching and cultivating students' concept of structure and function.The results show that the application of TFU teaching mode can promote students' mastery of biological knowledge,significantly improve their academic performance,and have a positive significance for the cultivation of "structure and function concept".
