The "General High School Biology Curriculum Standard(2017 Edition,2020 Revised Edition)" points out that the core competencies of biology include four aspects: life concept,scientific thinking,scientific inquiry and social responsibility.The concept of life has an important position and educational value in cultivating students’ core discipline quality in biology curriculum.The view of structure and function,as the most basic concept of life,is the basis for the formation of other concepts of life.This study aims to explore the cultivation of the concept of structure and function in biology teaching in senior high school,and explore the feasible methods to cultivate this kind of concept in teaching.This study clarified the research status of structure and function concept,made clear the specific connotation of structure and function concept,including structure concept,function concept and the relationship concept between structure and function,and determined the cultivation method of structure and function concept,providing necessary theoretical support for teaching and research.It took the interview to senior high school biology teachers in J school,and exposed existing problems of the teachers in J school:(1)The senior high school biology teachers were vague in understanding of structure and function concept,tend to One-sided view.(2)Teachers are shallow in cultivating the concept of structure and function,insufficient in theoretical guidance and analysis of teaching materials.(3)It is restricted by many factors when cultivating the concept of structure and function.In terms of the above interview results of teachers,the study took the Basic Structure of Cell as an example to carry out the teaching research on the cultivation of the concept of structure and function,including three parts: the teaching steps of cultivating the concept of structure and function,the teaching content analysis and the teaching practice of cultivating the concept of structure and function,attempting to propose some solutions.This teaching practice took Class 3 and Class 5,Grade 1 of J School as the research object,aiming to cultivate students’ concept of structure and function at cellular level.From the analysis of the concept map drawn by students,the study evaluated the achievement of their concept of structure and function.Finally,some teaching suggestions are suggested according to the research summary and reflection.Three conclusions can be drawn from the whole study:(1)In the teaching of cultivating the structural and functional view,teachers should thoroughly analyze the teaching materials and determine the concrete embodiment of the structural and functional view in the teaching materials.(2)The structural and functional view is based on biological facts and concepts,and is finally sublimated through observation and experiment,induction and abstraction.(3)The structural and functional view also includes the view of structure,the view of function,and the view of relationship between structure and function.Its cultivation process is progressive and spiral,with hierarchical and progressive nature.Reflecting on the whole study,four teaching suggestions were proposed,including strengthening the theoretical knowledge of structural and functional view,digging deeper into the penetration of structural and functional view in the teaching materials by combining the new class standards,breaking through the traditional teaching to try to cultivate structural and functional view in teaching,and making systematic teaching design for different levels of structural and functional view with the collective wisdom of the teaching and research group.
