Group Work Involved In The Improvement Of Independent Life Skills Of Elderly Autistic Patients

Autism is a type of generalized developmental disorder,also known as autism or a autistic disorder.The cause is not yet clear.In general,patients have abnormalities in language,emotion,behavior,interpersonal communication,and cognition.In recent years,with the growth of the number of people with autism and the development of the media industry,the group of autism has received increasing attention from the government and society.In 2016,the cost of diagnosis for children with autism was included in the medical insurance,and measures such as social appeals for children with autism to return to school and return to the classroom all reflect the increased attention paid by the society to people with autism.However,reviewing the relevant protection policies of the autistic group does not target the elderly autistic patients.In China,the assistance for the elderly autistic patients is mainly based on the self-help of patients' family.Growth and the aging of their parents,how to survive in older autistic patients is an urgent problem to be solved.Based on the internship at the H rehabilitation institution in G city,this article has a deeper understanding of older autistic patients through close observation of older autistic patients in the rehabilitation institution and interviews with staff of the institutional rehabilitation institution.Before carrying out the research in this article,the author reviewed the literature related to autism patients.Before conducting the research in this article,the author consulted the literature related to autism patients.When reviewing the literature,I found that more research on autism is limited to children with autism,and related research on older autism Much less.In a few studies on elderly autism,the authors found that the researchers mostly conducted case studies,which involved behavior correction,home caregiver's emotional counseling,etc.,but there was little involvement in the improvement of independent living skills that parents care about.Therefore,with the help of practical experience in the H rehabilitation institution,this article takes the independent life skills improvement training of the patients undergoing rehabilitation inthe institution as the research content;it uses the social learning theory and reinforcement theory in behaviorism as the theoretical support;the use of group work The service method is involved in the training of independent life skills improvement,and the group activities are mainly based on practical operations.In the process of continuous contact with older autistic patients,the author found that the group's practical activities have been effective in improving the independent life skills of older autistic patients.This study analyzes the effectiveness and deficiencies of group work intervention in the improvement of independent life skills of elderly autistic patients through the evaluation of group activities,and provides a reference for social work intervention in the service field of elderly autistic patients.
