“The number of ‘Shidu Families' in China has increased by 76,000 a year to more than1 million,”Liu Jiaqiang,Deputy secretary-general of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC,said in an article published in the study times,it has aroused wide concern of the society, and urgently needs the government and the society to give care and assistance. The author contacted some elderly Shidu families in urban communities and found that due to the particularity of Shidu families as a group, they are often faced with economic pressure and psychological sadness can not be effectively resolved, there is a deep concern about old age and medical care,a lack of confidence and hope in life, and a lack of an effective social support network, all of which require the intervention of social workers. In view of this, the author takes a certain community L in J city as an example, uses the professional methods and skills of case work in social work, and takes the theory of social support, the perspective of superiority, and the ABC theory as the theoretical guidance,a practical study on the social support network of Shidu families in cities was carried out.Through research,we found that social workers linking resources to build a social support network for Shidu families can effectively alleviate the negative emotions of Shidu people, clearly recognize their irrational beliefs, and gradually get out of the haze of Shidu,to enhance their ability to solve their own problems, and to face and deal with practical problems with a positive and optimistic attitude,so as to promote their better integration into the real society.
