General high school mathematics curriculum standard(2017 edition)lists intuitive imagination literacy as one of the six core qualities of mathematics,and proposes that good intuitive imagination literacy can help students form good mathematical intuition.Visual imagination perceives the shape and change of things with the help of geometric intuition and spatial imagination,and combines the spatial form and quantitative relation with the combination of number and form,so as to understand and solve mathematical problems.In this study,the premise of cultivating and improving students' intuitive imagination literacy is to understand the current situation of students' intuitive imagination literacy.Based on the analysis of the concepts related to intuitive imagination,this research starts from the value of the ability of intuitive imagination,and points the visual imagination to three dimensions of spatial imagination,geometric intuition,and combination of numbers and shapes.The proposed division of core literacy levels in mathematics subjects divides visual imagination literacy into three levels,integrates dimensionality and level division,and establishes an evaluation framework for visual imagination literacy.Based on the evaluation framework,a test paper on visual imagination literacy of senior high school students was compiled in order to more scientifically measure the status quo of visual imagination literacy of high school students.In this study,191 students in grade two of S middle and high school in linfen city were selected as research objects,and the average math scores of the monthly and mid-term exams were used as the students' scores at ordinary times to study the differences and correlations.Survey results show that: high school students intuitive imagination literacy overall performance is good;The boys and girls in the intuitive imagination literacy on the whole there is no significant difference,there is no significant difference in the three dimensions of spatial imagination,geometric intuition,number-form combination;On the whole,there are significant differences between Chinese and science students in intuitive imagination literacy,and between spatial imagination,geometric intuition and number-form combination.Science students are better than arts students.There was a strong positive correlation between students' intuitive imagination literacy and their usual scores,and there was an obvious positive correlation between spatial imagination,geometric intuition and combination of number and shape and their usual scores.Based on the survey results and problems found during the survey,suggestions are made on how to cultivate and improve the visual imagination of high school students:?Strengthen disciplinary relations and balance the differences between arts and science students;?Strengthen the drawing consciousness and cultivate students' drawing ability;?Accumulate geometric models to cultivate students' spatial imagination ability;?Master the nature of graphics to cultivate students' ability to visualize geometry;?Translation to cultivate students' ability to combine figures and shapes.
