According to the "Implementation Plan for the Comprehensive Reform of Enrollment in Higher Education Institutions" promulgated by the Hubei Provincial Government,in 2021,the high school students who implemented the "3+1+2" selective examination model in Hubei Province will soon accept the national college entrance examination. The choice of subjects for the college entrance examination involves many aspects such as high school teaching organization, student career planning, and college admissions, and physics learning is related to the cultivation of middle school students' scientific quality and the transition from high school to university stage, which has a profound impact on the scientific development of students. Therefore, investigating the current situation of high school students in Hubei Province in choosing physics subjects, and studying the factors that affect high school students in choosing physics subjects, not only can better grasp the actual situation of the new college entrance examination reform in Hubei Province, but also help schools and teachers to understand students and parents in depth,Is conducive to the cultivation of students' career awareness, and provides factual basis for students' scientific selection. In this study, some students, teachers and parents of four different types of high schools in Macheng City were used as the survey objects.First, the questionnaire and interview method were used to investigate the current situation of students' selection of physics subjects and school selection under the "3+1+2" selective examination mode.Investigate the specific implementation of the guidance work.Comparing the liberal arts and science selection data before the new college entrance examination reform,it is found that there is a large deviation in the proportion of physics selection for 2018 students in Macheng City, and the current situation of returning to the level of 2019 but not yet balanced;secondly, the SPSS software affects the selection of physics for high school students The main factors and demographic characteristics of the subjects are analyzed, and it is found that students' selection of physics subjects is mainly affected by factors such as "employment prospects","subject interests" and "examination results".In terms of demographics, different types of schools and genders are affected. There are significant differences in the results of the examinations among students;finally, the outstanding problems in the selection practice are analyzed in depth, the causes of the problems are analyzed in depth, and corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward. This research believes that schools should conduct in-depth research in the following aspects when carrying out student selection work: one is to strengthen the study and publicity of the national college entrance examination policy, and to improve the scientific nature of guiding high school students to choose physics;the second is to deepen the practice of connecting junior and high school physics teaching,To improve the effectiveness of high school students' selection of physics subjects;the third is to strengthen family-school collaboration, and enhance the legitimacy of parents' guidance for high school students' selection of physics subjects.
