| Due to the fact that Vietnam and China are connected by mountains and rivers,they have similar cultures.Therefore,Chinese literature has been widely spread in Vietnam's community.From the four great Chinese masterpieces decades ago to Jin Yong and Gu Long martial arts novels,Chinese literature has always been well-received.As the development of the Internet,Chinese online novels have become even more popular in Vietnam since 2009 and have attachted many readers' attention.So far,Chinese online literature has developed rapidly in the Vietnamese market,and it has affected the lives of Vietnamese people,especially the young generation.As time goes by,traditional readers have further become "fans" of Chinese online literature,and have tremendous power and influence.In the world,the study of Fans Culture is one of the media-oriented social landscapes.Many scholars from the East and the West have spent a lot of time on this field.However,until now,Vietnamese scholars have rarely paid attention to the subject of Fan Culture.They have only reached the study of the spread and influence of Chinese online romance literature.The author has been engaged in Chinese literature authorization and publishing industry for several years,and has the opportunity to see the development of Chinese online literature in Vietnam and the process of fanning readers.Therefore,as an overseas student,from the perspective of "transnational fans",the author adopts network ethnography and in-depth interview method to study Chinese network literature fans in Vietnam,and finds out their identity construction through practical behaviors and activities.They also learn about the crisis they face in cultural differences,how their identities are maintained,and how to change the stereotype of fans outside the group.This paper focuses on three research questions:Firstly,what kind of group are the Vietnamese fans of Chinese online novels?What are their characteristics?Secondly,how do Vietnamese fans of Chinese online novels construct their identity?What is its identity construction?Finally,how to maintain the identity of Vietnamese fans of Chinese online literature in the face of crisis?(culture clash,nationalism,etc.)The research conclusions are as follows:Firstly,Vietnamese fans of Chinese online romance novels are an active group.In the era of Internet development,the fans receive rich information equivalence and are more proactive.Through the online platform,they communicate with each other and share their hobbies by constructing a regular and organized fan group.Secondly,through various activities in the online community,the fans show their text productivity,interact with others,and gain recognition from others.Moreover,they can complete the construction of self-identity through self-reflection and interaction with others.At the same time,the fans themselves have come up with another me--an "ideal" version of me.Finally,in the process of constructing identity,Vietnamese fans of Chinese online romance novels will identify with Chinese culture due to cultural proximity.But at the same time,this group also faces many crises,such as cultural conflicts,restrictions of nationalism and so on.This is a time when fans are trying to reconcile their real identity(I'm Vietnamese)with their cultural identity(I'm a fan of Chinese online romance novels).In the process of research,the author found that Vietnamese fans could understand Chinese culture and life through the content of the novel,expand the base of fans,and finally construct the identity of fans of online novels to Chinese culture.All these are conducive to cross-cultural communication and the promotion of the development of the world. |
