The ARCS motivation model is an instructional design model proposed by American psychology professor Keller.It consists of Attention,Relevance,Confidence,and Satisfaction.This model proposes corresponding teaching strategies based on specific content,which not only provides effective help for teachers' teaching,but also plays an obvious role in stimulating and maintaining students' learning motivation.This research is based on the students of the ancient Kutchabprachasan Middle School in Thailand,based on the ARCS motivation model,combined with the oral Chinese classroom,and integrating this theory into the teaching design to stimulate and maintain Thai middle school students in the learning of oral Chinese.Motivation.First,combed the domestic and foreign research literature on the ARCS motivation model theory,and learned the current research status of the model through specific results,and analyzed the specific implementation links of the ARCS motivation model and its application in Chinese international education.Secondly,the questionnaire method was used to investigate the students' motivation in oral Chinese learning in Kutchabprachasan Middle School,and the characteristics of the students'motivation in oral Chinese learning were analyzed.Then design the oral Chinese teaching around the four elements of attention,relevance,self-confidence and satisfaction,and apply them to oral Chinese teaching.Finally,after a three-month teaching practice,a post-test of learning motivation was conducted on the students of Kutchabprachasan Middle School,and the changes in the learning motivation of the students after the implementation of the ARCS motivation model were analyzed,combined with interviews with some students Understand the cognitive changes of students in oral Chinese learning,so as to explore the effect of our teaching design in stimulating and maintaining the motivation of Thai middle school students in oral Chinese learning.Through analysis,it is found that students' learning enthusiasm has been significantly improved;students' oral Chinese and communication skills have been significantly improved;teaching goals have been achieved well;the quality of oral Chinese teaching has been significantly improved.Therefore,the ARCS motivation model can effectively improve students' oral Chinese learning motivation and academic performance to a certain extent,and promote oral Chinese teaching.It can be implemented in the future oral Chinese teaching according to the actual teaching.
