The nature of science is a component of the dimension of "scientific attitude and responsibility" in physics core literacy.Textbooks,as an important carrier between teachers' teaching and students' learning,are directly related to the formation of students' scientific essence.Therefore,the study of the presentation of scientific essence in high school physics textbooks will help teachers understand textbooks and promote the cultivation of students' scientific essence.Firstly,the connotation of the nature of science and the existing research at home and abroad are sorted out;Secondly,the analysis framework and scoring standard of the nature of science proposed by Abd-El-Khalick(2008)are used to analyze the high school physics textbooks of PEP and Luke,and the presentation of the nature of science in the two editions of high school physics textbooks is analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively;Finally,according to the comparison,the paper draws a conclusion and puts forward corresponding suggestions for the compilation and use of the teaching materials.The conclusions are as follows:1.There are differences in the frequency of presentation of the nature of science between the two editionsAccording to the statistics of the times of presenting the nature of science in the two editions,the times of presenting the nature of science in PEP and Luke are different;By comparing the presentation times of various indicators of the nature of science in the two editions of textbooks,it is found that "social and cultural embeddedness of scientific knowledge" and "tentativeness" are presented most frequently in the two editions of textbooks.2.The nature of science is comprehensive and accurate in the two editionsThrough the statistics of the times of ten indicators of the nature of science presented in the two editions of textbooks,it is found that each indicator is presented in the two editions of textbooks,which shows that the two editions of textbooks present the nature of science comprehensively.Many indicators of the nature of science in the two editions of textbooks present rational expression,which shows that the expression of the nature of science in the two editions of textbooks is relatively accurate.3.The nature of science is presented in various ways in the two editions of textbooksFrom the perspective of the presentation of the nature of science in the two editions of textbooks,the presentation of the nature of science in the two editions of textbooks is diversified,including explicit presentation and implicit presentation.4.The nature of science is presented from different angles in the two editions of textbooksThrough the specific analysis of the contents of the two editions of textbooks,it is found that the presentation of the nature of science in the two editions of textbooks is multi angle,and the same text content in the textbooks can present multiple indicators of the nature of science.5.The nature of science is uneven in the two editions of textbookThe nature of science is unevenly distributed in each chapter of the two editions of textbooks.Some chapters are over presented,while others are not;The presentation of each index of the nature of science in the two editions of textbooks is also uneven.6.The nature of science is still imperfect in the two editions of textbooksThe two editions of textbooks are not perfect in the expression of "scientific theory","scientific law","diversity of scientific methods" and other indicators,and do not express the characteristics of some indicators.
